Road Trippin’ - Sedona, Arizona (Part 2)
We have one week left of our time here in Sedona. It’s been great to take a pause in his time of chaos and immerse ourselves in the peace and beauty of the Southwest. It seems like chaos is swirling all around us in so many different realms -- politics, family, the crypto markets, even here on Steemit. Is anyone else feeling the effects of this? It’s been nice to pause and “just be” for a little while.
The latest news about Justin Sun’s acquisition of Steemit and the recent AMA leaves many more questions than answers. One thing is for sure, it seems like the end of an era. One never knows, what’s coming next may be even better. Always remember, there can be great opportunities found during times of change. At the very least there are lessons to be learned and chances to grow. Nothing in this physical world stays the same for long. Even though I realize this, I can’t help but find myself getting nostalgic for the old days.
Back to our trip. Our third hike was at Thunder Mountain Trail. While we were on the trail I found my dream house in the desert. If you watch the slideshow you’ll catch a glimpse of it. I can imagine writing many more books in that space while looking out at the red rock mountains. Real estate is outrageously expensive in this town so I’d have to come into a windfall of some kind to be able to make that dream a reality. Who knows? Maybe alt season will finally happen this year after what feels like a thousand false-starts. Dreams do come true after all.

The next slideshow is of an old copper mining town about twenty minutes outside of Sedona called Jerome. This town is steeped in wild history and some believe much of the town is haunted by ghosts. If you find yourself in Sedona the side trip to Jerome is worth the journey. Most of the town can be seen in four or five hours and the drive into the Black Hills is scenic from departure to arrival.

Sedona is such an amazing bit of God's creation. We've been there only once, so far, but I can hear it "calling" me to go back.

Good morning @creatr! It certainly is a beautiful and inspirational place! We have been to the chapel on a past trip. My sister-in-law lives here so we've visited a few times over the past decade.
