My travel photo Diary # 42 "Muthukuda" at a Church festival, Kerala.
The festivals in Kerala, the religious ones, are unique with the unique style of celebrations. These mostly include music, different kinds of music, arts forms and added colours. A simple ritual is made colorful using various elements. This is such a scene from a church festival where one member from every family in that parish is asked to carry this umbrella during a procession to the church.
Very unique style procession 🤔, completely different to once I'm used of in Goa.
Yeah I think the rituals are highly influenced by the traditions of the local culture. I have never seen any regional festivals in Goa, will love to attend one sometime.
