Italian mosaic #04 / Venice

in #travel7 years ago

Venice is beautiful and romantic. Numerous Small canals and gondolas, the narrow passages and tourists from all countries. This city is really unique.

But what if Venice was met with rain, grey weather, constant rain? How the city looks on the water when the water pours from the top? Not looks. We were lucky: the rain was short-lived, though unpleasant. And even this intense cold was not. But still after 7 heat waves from Africa to receive such a cold during my trip - not cool.

Today's view of Venice is not too colorful, there will be no colors bright sky, as in Pisa. But still there is something to see.

  1. The monument to Victor Emmanuel II, which on this background does not look impressive.

  2. During the walk to the gondola (by the way, a very memorable walk!) a light rain was falling. When it ended, I finally managed to take some photos during movement.

  3. Took us several quiet channels. The houses around were not so. It is evident that Venice is painted in the most popular areas, and then the harsh reality.

  4. Gondolier closes the turn.

  5. People meet in small groups. Together the rain Obviously waited. Someone collapses the umbrella, someone carries your suitcase, introducing some long journey ahead on foot.

  6. Home from an acute angle.

  7. In Venice, water is everywhere. Here she oozes out of the wall. Apparently this has been happening for a very long time.

  8. What is unusual Venice on the other side. This balcony seems about to collapse, but underneath it transports tourists!

  9. Not the best shot, but very atmospheric. The last bridge before the exit to the pier. It seems tourists are on the bridge are happier than the tourists in the gondola!

  10. St. Mark's Cathedral partially rekonstruiruet.

  11. On the day of our visit the water level was quite normal. For those who don't know: the Cathedral is located so that during high tides the water level rises above the level of the square and some rooms.

  12. While standing in the queue at the entrance, I photographed the house across the street.

  13. Inside of the Cathedral.

  1. Here for whom water is always a feast!

  2. I Now as a tourist-pedestrian watching passing gondolas.

  3. Tube! Real tube!

  4. The majority of the Shutters are closed.

  5. The transition between the houses. I wonder why? The man owns two apartments across the street?

  6. The sky begins to lighten, but the clouds did not disperse. Although the house would no longer gray!

  7. Don't know what this means, but the horizon is NOT buried!

  8. A Monument To Carlo Goldoni. Playwright, author of more than 200 plays.

  9. The first sight of the Grand canal.

  10. In Italy, even a lot of images on the walls. Politician Giuseppe Mazzini, for example.

  11. A lone gondola.

  12. A local stop.

  13. I think this is znammeny the view of the Grand canal.

  14. And here is the most beautiful for me building in Venice: Cavalli-Franchetti Palace from the 15th century.

  15. Here on the shore would go... but no! As a guide only.

  16. Islands of greenery create a special comfort in this realm of water and houses.

  17. Where did the sun appear. The city flourished.

  18. The sky appeared even small gaps!

  19. The road began to appear quite green. Not associated these green corners I have with this city, but it was nice.

  20. & nbsp;Venetian courtyard.

  21. No, it's not gutter! This channel too!

  22. And in the end the boy with the frog.

  23. The last panorama of the Bay. Clickable (1280).

Thank you for your attention!
