Italian mosaic #03 / Pisa: and still she stands!

in #travel7 years ago

Pisa was the only city from the whole of my tour in Italy, in which I was one. Without friends. It just so happened that others desire to visit the city was not. In vain or not is not for me to decide. This is generally a controversial issue: whether the attention of the leaning tower of Pisa? More likely than not.

In General the leaning tower of Pisa, the baptistery, the Cathedral and the cemetery of Pisa has brought immense popularity. She is known all over the world. On the other hand besides these places about the city, there is little to say without looking at Wikipedia. And since I don't like to speak the reader's teeth on the topic encyclopedic literacy, again without words.

Look at the city!

  1. Here it is the Square of Miracles. The main buildings of the entire city: in the foreground the baptistry, behind the Cathedral and behind the visible tower.

  2. Pisa Cathedral itself. In fact, he has all columns different :-) But here it is not visible.

  3. With its corners jump dog.

  4. . In General, in Pisa the topic of wolves can be forgotten. On the wall (title photo) is a lion on the Cathedral of dogs and walking cats. In a small amount, but cats often find in Italy is not accounted for.

  5. Back to the square of miracles. Cemetery Campo Santo.

  6. The main entrance.

  7. And the tower itself. Of course, it is the bell tower, but its so few calls. Where not take - all the same curve.

  8. Managed to capture it with the flying plane.

  9. Now let's see what else there is. For example, churches such as this. Unfortunately, the history of this Church I can't remember. Although told.

  10. In the city you can find some of the most conventional monuments. This mathematician Dini Ulysses. As I understand from the Internet, lovers of the exact Sciences should know who he is. But I'm not a fan...

  11. Here he just ran past and didn't notice that some decorations on the pillars are at the level of a human face. You can just poke his nose and only then to notice.

  12. Beautiful vintage lamp!

  13. Tell me, how often do you see the curtains outside?

  14. Can't read Italian, but it has to do with Vincenzo Galilei - one of the most famous people, whose life story connected with Pisa.

  15. And here is the Arno river, familiar to us by Florence.

  16. Unfortunately, I was not able more to walk along the promenade, although they love doing it.

  17. But here, among the ordinary houses you can see beautiful. Like everywhere else)

  18. And finally the tower behind the houses. Drops :-)

Stay tuned!
