A look back: Italy part 1

Hello Steemy people,

Since I have just now found out about the wonderful world of Steemit.. I realize how many stories I have missed out on sharing. So I am going to start a blog series about some adventures from the past year & tell some stories if any of you are along for the ride, then stay tuned.

The Meet Up: Italy Part 1
A little back story about this trip. It took place over the holiday break in December of 2016. My friends and I were all planning a meet up in Italy. I was coming over from England where I attend University, one friend was coming from the United States, one friend from Finland (who comes later) and the last friend (Beatrice) in Italy. She was kind enough to open up her home to all of us for this epic reunion.

Kaci & I met up Milan. My tiredness from arriving at Manchester airport at 3 am was a joke compared to Kaci's jetlag from an 8+ hour trek from the states. Despite the exhaustion, we navigated our way from the airport to the train station and successfully on to the right train... AS the doors were shutting! Woo.
We met in Milan where we took about a 3 train ride to Treviso. It was Kaci's first real train journey, and it was all in Italian! We took this time to catch up with each other and reflect. We hadn't seen each other in 6 months, and were soon to reunite with two friends we hadn't seen in years.

Once we finally arrived, we were greeted by Beatrice & her boyfriend, and headed to a spot that Beatrice and her family frequently have a light lunch & drink in Treviso.

Now I have noticed this drink taking over this summer in the UK, what drink will we borrow next?
