On many occasions I have been swimming and I leave the sea at this twilight time, but almost always I am unable to take a photo. When I get this opportunity, the sky is not always that beautiful, but this time it was. View of the sea,clouds, mountains in the distance and the Campeche Island. Florianópolis - Santa Catarina - Brazil.

Chess Pavillion. On the famous Mount Huashan you can visit this beautiful place. The way down to the pavillion is a very narrow path which you have to climb with the help of steel chains. So even the way there is an adventure.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #65 - winner announcement!

@itchyfeetdonica African Wednesday entry:

I took this picture in the southern valley of Ethiopia, near the boarder of Kenya. These girls were singing and dancing cheerfully. They wore distinctive accessories made with bright-colored beads and feathers. And the wooden object on the middle girl's head was not only a decoration, but also a common bench used by locals to rest. :)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #65 - winner announcement!

@axeman European Thursday entry:

Rainfall of Souls. The strongest Aurora Borealis I have seen in my life so far. Well, I wasn't yet in Norway or Iceland. And for Lithuania this is extremely rare occasion to have such strong solar storm visible, also because we have many cloudy and rainy days per year. Anyhow, that was true luck and extremely calm weather this night. So we went further from the city to the beach of Baltic Sea and Miss Fortune was really on our side :) Shot with wide 14mm lens on 30 seconds long exposure. Enjoy it!

Inca Trail near Sucre, Bolivia

The famous Inca trail is unquestionably the one located near Machu Picchu, Peru, but in fact, there are Inca trails everywhere in the area of the former Inca empire. I hiked this one located near Sucre, the capital of Bolivia. This little known trail offers some breathtaking views!

Twilight seen from the terrace of my sister's building, in the Botafogo neighborhood, in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. I believe this is one of the most fantastic cities in the world, due to the combination of forests, mountains, buildings and sea. That's where I was born.

Sunset at Playa Mansa.
This beach is very visited by residents of the sector and by tourists who visit the coastal area of the Anzoátegui State in Venezuela, for the beautiful sunsets that can be observed in this place. Its waters are very calm and rarely strong waves can be observed, always up to now it remains so, hence its name

When I went to Peru, I took the opportunity to make a stop in the Paracas National Reserve, located in the province of Pisco, which is a protected area since 1975. The reserve was created to protect the various plant and wildlife living in the water as well as in the Paracas Desert. Here, only a few birds that we encountered during our excursion.

The Mysterious Agricultural Terraces Of The Incas in Peru. These visually fascinating terraces are found near Machu Picchu. The most perplexing feature of these structures is the fact that the bottom of the terraces never floods, no matter how much rain it receives. Inca people didn’t know how to write but I think their architectonical skills were fabulous.

Cascada del Vino
Visiting the Cascada del Vino was a spectacular experience, a place where you breathe peace and tranquility.
It is a unique turistic place in Lara State. Venezuela. The waters fall from 90 meters high, surrounded by a varied vegetation, fauna and especially the purity of its springs, with a very cool and pleasant mountain climate that allow you to spend a spectacular day.
