Enchantment. I had been watching the smoke from a nearby forest fire drift towards Arches N P. Utah USA. The sunset colors were appearing as I hurried to find a spot to photograph what would become an enchanting scene. The smoke drifted over at the right time and it was amazing to watch.

@intrepidphotos Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Sunset over P.P. Long Beach with some longtail boats (ruea hang yao) parked for the day. This shot was taken just about a month before the 2004 Boxing Day or Indian Ocean tsunami wiped out everything on the island including most of the beautiful people there. Phi Phi Don is a rugged limestone island with development confined to a low sandbar isthmus separating two main wings of the island and did not stand a chance. The waves up to 30 metres (100 ft) high ended up taking the lives of approximately 280,000 people across 14 countries. Ko Phi Phi Don. Ko Phi Phi Archipelago, Andaman Sea, Thailand. Shot taken of Fuji Velvia Slide Film.

There are few things as romantic as a walk along a deserted beach during a proper African sunset. No filtering or editing applied... just an epic sunset on the South coast of South Africa.

A snap shot of a typical Cuban street with a beautiful fancy Chevy oldtimer in the foreground. I took this image in the Vedado neighborhood of Havana, the capital city of Cuba, last year.

What a classic!

Banff National Park located in Alberta, Canada, is a wonderful place for the nature lover. It is at the Canadian Rockies, so the visitor is surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers and wild live. I took this photo at one of the lakes at the park, unfortunately I do not remember the name of this lake.

Such an amazing shot, well done!

Live in mirror :)
Nice shot.

I am glad that you liked it.

Lake Minewanka

Thank you.

Santa Barbara, California
Mediterranean climate, popular tourist city and Spanish architecture. We stopped on our way north from LA. Just had a couple of hours to check out the city. The photo was taken from the pier, where car freaks showed off their old rides. Pretty dope;) Loved the scenery with the palm trees and the beach. Have a great weekend!

Hmmm, what a great place that is. Have a good one.

The town hall square in the centre of downtown Toronto is one of the busiest squares of the city and because of the lettering with the new city hall in the background, also a popular photo spot for tourists.

Love those colors!

Taken yesterday on our hike up the Berg Lake Trail to Kinney Lake on Mount Robson located in British- Columbia Canada. We enjoyed a nice walk up to the lake and were greeted with some of the most spectacular views. We continued walking towards the first backpacking campground around the lake and came across this view.

What a wonderful entry, thank you so much.

Half Dome at Sunset, Yosemite National Park

Half Dome Half Lit (2).jpg

Although I grew up in California, I didn't make it up to Yosemite National Park until my mid twenties. Once I got there, I was blown away at the beauty, yes, but also the scale. If you want to be reminded how small you really are, take a trip to Yosemite Valley and simply look up. Pictured here is Half Dome, half lit up at sunset...

Thank you so much for your wonderful submission.

Route66_11.jpg
Gateway Arch in St. Louis
Few years ago St. Louis was an important traffic node in th US, connecting big cities via railway. Furthermore it is located at the Route 66, so its totally worth a stop on your roadtrip ;)

Thank you so much for your submission. Have a great weekend. Tomas

Marin County California

Last April while visiting northern California, I drove up to Mt. Tamalpais and then to the adjacent hills in Marin County to watch the sunset. I parked the car next to this road (behind me) and climbed the steep grass covered hill until I found a perfect perch to watch the sunset. As the sun got closer to the horizon the light turned almost unnaturally red, and covered these hillsides in the most magical light.

Hi @czechglobalhosts

Here is my entry : Utah State Route 128
The highway is designated as Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway. The highway runs closely with the Colorado river. For the reason the highway is called as The River Road. The highway crosses the Colorado River at the site of the Dewey Bridge. This bridge was the longest suspension bridge in Utah until 2008. The bridge was destroyed by a fire started by a child playing with matches

Lovely Summer Sunset
The last storms of the day are about over. As the sun sets the heat driven rain cycle also comes to a rest, making for a pleasant time of day with a lovely summer sunset.

This image is from Sedona Arizona USA.

I just love that place, so beautiful... I just wish to go there again.....
