It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. There are few things as romantic as a walk along a deserted beach during a proper African sunset. No filtering or editing applied... just an epic sunset on the South coast of South Africa.

A man changing the prayer flags under Buddha's Wisdom eyes. A colourful scene from boudhanath, the world biggest circular Stupa located in Kathmandu. Once a years the flags are changed and the lotus petal pattern are refreshed.

Devils Marbles in the Australian Outback. The Devils Marbles are an incredible rock formation: The round rocks are surrounded by the vast landscape of the Outback. Some of the giant rocks are split in the middle which makes for some amazing photos!

Sunset over P.P. Long Beach with some longtail boats (ruea hang yao) parked for the day. This shot was taken just about a month before the 2004 Boxing Day or Indian Ocean tsunami wiped out everything on the island including most of the beautiful people there. Phi Phi Don is a rugged limestone island with development confined to a low sandbar isthmus separating two main wings of the island and did not stand a chance. The waves up to 30 metres (100 ft) high ended up taking the lives of approximately 280,000 people across 14 countries. Ko Phi Phi Don. Ko Phi Phi Archipelago, Andaman Sea, Thailand.
