Taken on our latest camping trip we took last week to a lesser known part of the Canadian Rockies, Kananaskis Country (Alberta). As we first drove into the mountains that was the view we were greeted with, we decided this was a perfect place to stop and stretch our legs.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #44 - winner announcement!

@davedavis91 Australian Monday entry:

"Life on Rottnest" Imagine Paradise.... What do you see? Beach, Water, ocean, crystal clear water... If this is your imagination, than here you go: Go to Rottnest Island on the shores off Perth, Western Australia. This Island is home to the weirdest Rat-Kangaroo species called the quokka. A cute and tiny something all over the island. Snorkelling, swimming, and quite peaceful hang out place. Shot with my Nikon D5300.

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

At first sight the view is very similar to Norway, Northern Canada or Alaska. But nope, this is Baltic Sea during pretty cold period of time, maybe week or two. The coast starts to be frozen with some nice ice formations on the stones
The shot is done early morning on sunrise with a soft warm colors pushing through overall cold blue. And the boat with two fishermen in bright red coasts was just at right time and right place :) A bit of long exposure added. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #44 - winner announcement!

@worldcapture African Wednesday entry:

Sahara Desert, Merzouga (Morocco). I took this picture on my travel through Morocco on the new years eve 2016/2017. The location was south/east of Morocco in Merzouga, an small village besides the desert on the algerian boarder. I still cant find the right words I could say about the saharan desert, it was just magic and definitely the most peaceful and silent place i have ever been to in my life. If you ever have the chance to go there - do it !

@letsbenomads European Thursday entry:

Two days in a row we have the most beautiful midnight sun here up North, above the artic Circle, where the sun never sets.. The sea's reflection turned it into an outer world experience. You might think there is a of tweaking going on in this picture, but these were the colours in reality!

The Made in La Wall is a popular spot for an Instagram moment but it has a new addition. Los Angeles has a major homeless problem. The homeless population has grown 75% over the last six years. While the problem is being discussed, solutions aren’t coming quickly. This street art is simply drawing more attention to this problem.

Fancy old Buick that I found parked on a street right next to the famous Havana Theater in Cuba. Officially known as the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso, the impressive building is located on the famous Paseo del Prado boulevard in the historic center of Havana.

Your entry definitely stands out today among all the US national parks:)... Thank you.

Taken in Kananaskis Country in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park just outside of Calgary Alberta. We decided to go on a 16 kilometer hike around Upper Kananaskis Lake, this is one of my favorite pictures from that day.

Toroweap Overlook (Grand Canyon)
On the Toroweap Overlook, the rock walls are reaching down over 900 meters and are providing a breathtaking view of the Colorado River. This vantage point offers probably the most beautiful and spectacular view of the Grand Canyon.
Here you can read more about the North Rim

What an amazing place and a natural wonder. I just love it there!

Kings Canyon National Park, California
Just adjacent to Sequoia National park is Kings Canyon National Park, located in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. If you want to get away from the crowds, then this park is the place for you. They have beautiful meadows where you can put a camping chair near a creek, under a shade of the tree and feel the cool breeze with the sound of the cottonwood trees in the background.

Absolutely stunning, thank you so much for your entry.

Light Up The Night

Many bright flashes light up the night sky! This powerful monsoon thunderstorm produced some beautiful lightning as it moved into the city of Cottonwood Arizona USA. Heavy rain is seen pouring from the clouds illuminated by the intense energy released by nature. Cottonwood is just across the Verde Valley about 15 miles from Sedona.

Well after all it is the monsoon season!

That is some serious lightening!

In New York, a bagel with spread, the city's signature breakfast bread product, is the one ring to rule them all. It is also featured on a funny signs at the Brooklyn Bridge. It says "NO LOCKS YES LOX" and features the traditional bagel with smoked salmon. The purpuse is to discourage the bridge visitors from hanging the love locks under the penalty of USD100.

Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park got its name from the yellow rocks of this canyon. While the national park is famed for its volcanic wonders, the rest of the park is not any less impressive!

Thank you so much for your participation. Enjoy your weekend.

San Bernardino National Forest, California

America's National Parks are gorgeous, but don't panic if you can't get to one. There are amazing State Parks and beautiful National Forests as well. Exploring San Bernardino National Forest, in Southern California on a beautiful day with @suitcasemama and my nephew, seen in the distance on top of the rocks.

Yep, I should definitely visit more of the US national parks. What a beauty.

They're awe inspiring. And this one's not even a shot of a National Park ;)

Also, let me know when you go, I used to be an adventure/camping tour guide and know the National Parks pretty well.

After arriving at Sparks Lake around midnight, we set up camp and crashed. Our plan was to shoot sunrise and head out to our next location before the light got too harsh.

We ended up having such a foggy morning that we couldn't see any of the 3 mountains that are in view.

It was a freezing night, but the reflection was well worth it.

Thank you so much for your wonderful entry. Enjoy your weekend. Tomas
