7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #57 - winner announcement!

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

African sunrise. Early morning at Hurghada, Egypt. Very calm and wonderfully colorful one. Shot at the beach just on the territory of the hotel. This time sun already risen, but hided behind narrow line of clouds on the horizon, allowing to get few more pretty unusual frames with a sunbeams spreading both to the top and to the bottom. Some silhouettes of the boats far away... Shot with long tele-photo lens compressing the perspective. Enjoy the scenery :)

Sometimes you get lucky to see a familiar landmark from a different point of view. This is the world famous Tower Bridge in London, built in 1894. I had a chance to take a boat ride on the River Thames that went directly under this bridge giving me a chance to take a photo like this!

Amsterdam (Netherlands, 2018), city of sketchy alleys. Behind this beautiful Waterfront, the Red Light District invites the curious to take a sneaky look into the infamous world of Amsterdam's prostitution. A weird feeling to see the male masses strolling by the windows of Amsterdam's finest. Anywho, this city is a great place to do some night time cityscape-Photography. For more, check out my Blog.

Great to see you back participating in the contest!

Thanks! Me too ;)

Plaza de Espana, Sevilla

Built for the world exhibition 1929, Plaza de Espana might not be as old as it looks, but it still is an architectonical feat. The decorative building now houses government offices, but even just seeing the spectacular facade is a highlight of visiting Sevilla.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

That sure is a spectacular building!

Another green photo from my side this Thursday.
This photo was taken by the coast, so green color is also reflected in the water.
And love this stars on the sky…
Have a nice Thursday guys!

Truly stunning! Love it.

We always talk about what on earth and there is a lot of wonderful things to be seen all around the world. What we tend not to mention are the Undergrounds! Here is a photo showing a cave named "L'Aven d'Orgnac" located in France... What a beauty!

Location: France.

That sure is a beauty! Thank you so much for sharing.

A flock of sheep in the Massif Central near Mont Dore, France. I went there during summer. Lots of hiking can be done there, especially the Puy de Sancy, which is the highest mountain in the Massif Central. (Don't forget to try the local chesse ;) )

That looks just splendid. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

This week I'll enter with a shot from a small village that is very special to me.
It is called "Lastros" and you can find it at the northeast part of the island of Crete, in Greece. It is not a major touristic attraction, it is not an economic or cultural center for the whole region, it doesn't even have enough residents to call it a thriving village, but it is very important to me since it is my home :)

The whole story here!

Thank you so much for your wonderful submission. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

Indigo Wisdom

Early morning in Larnaca, Cyprus. Yet again, when all tourists are still sleeping, some crazy photographers waking up to catch sunrise. Luckily the hotel was pretty close to the seaside. Shot from very nice walking promenade with the view to small fishing boat harbor with lighthouses.

Have to admit that this time already quite a lot local citizens waking up to have some morning run and some swim. Guess this is just most pleasant time, while daytime were over 30 degrees. We have caught really very hot period there

Enjoy the scenery!

It just seems you never get much sleep but it sure is worth the effort. Well done!

When at home... I sleep :D

A few days ago I was out with my camera in the beautiful, southeast Styrian countryside and watched an amazing sunset. Fortunately I had my crystal ball with me. So I simply grabbed the nice landscape, put it into the ball, held it in front of the camera and pressed the shutter button. Here you can see the result 😉

What a nice play, great job!

Thanks, Tomas! 🙂
