Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @fotogruppemunich with the following entry:

One of the most famous buildings in the world is the opera house in sydney. I was able to capture this picture with my drone at the beginning of August. At the same time, I make a timelapse of this fantastic moment with the canon.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #50 - winner announcement!

@rinawonderlands Asian Sunday entry:

This is one of a beautiful sunrise i had when i was in Gili Trawangan island, a small island near Lombok. No cars, no bike is allowed in this island. But unfortunately we can't go visit the island for a while now, since the earthquake hit Lombok last month. Many building were damaged, and all the people were evacuated from the island for their safety.

This is not morning mist nor bush fire. This is actual steam coming out from the rocks, created by the geothermal activities in the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, one of the youngest volcanic regions in New Zealand. Because the shapes of these rocks resembles the sharp roofs of a church, it is known as the Cathedral Rocks.

The wonders of nature are just fascinating. Thank you so much for sharing this one with all of us. Have a great day. Tomas

Standing on the edge of this rock, hanging above the void! This is a stunning place to visited in Australia, "The Balconies" is located in the Grampians National park, the scenery is spectacular and if you are looking for a thrill, dare to stand on the edge!

Northern Territory. Kata Tjuta.

Kata Tjuta, formerly known as The Olga's, is a group of large ancient rock formations close to Uluru. There are 36 domes. The highest point is Mount Olga.
A beautiful sacret place for its Anangu traditional owners.

Thank you so much for your submission. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Have a great day. Tomas

During our Australia trip we were also in Queensland for a few days. It was almost as warm in winter as it is in Germany when it is summer. In the picture you can see the Bribie Island Bridge.

Sunset Silhouettes of Uluru and Kata Tjuta

The view from the sunrise viewpoint in the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park is equally beautiful at sunset when the last light of the day emphasize the silhouettes of the huge rocks.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

It is amazing how many places you have been to and all those pics from there are just breathtaking.

Glass House Mountains National Park, Queensland, Australia. The track looks good, but not with a leaky Ford Festiva... My friend and I took some pictures and decide to avoid having a break down in the middle of nowhere.

Looks like endless "road".... would love to do some MTB over there:)..... Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas

Thanks for organising the contest. It's nice to revisit photos and share them.

Laguna Lookout, Noosa Heads

One of many beautiful sunsets we experienced in Australia, but this one was so special. From this lookout you got an awesome view over the Noosa River

Woww, what a beautiful sunset @betterthanhome 🌅😍

Yep, that sunset is just amazing. I should really start getting up early to experience such a wonders!

It doesn’t get much Aussie than this, first light on a cattle farm in Queensland. Our farmers are currently experiencing one of the worst droughts in decades. Let’s hope they get some rain soon. 1AC4A859-1C7F-460C-A832-36653C2F6BE9.jpeg

Well we had a pretty hot and rainless summer over here in the Czech Republic as well. It has only started raining recently after what I remember the hottest summer. The global climate is changing drastically in front of our eyes. It is time to start doing something about it until it is too late. Thank you so much for your entry.

Very strange weather all over the world at the moment. Someone needs to start leading the charge on climate change otherwise who knows where we will end up.

Lake Rotoiti is a large lake lying to the east of Rotorua. Legend said that the name Rotoiti or Te Roto-whaiti-i-kite-ai-a-Ihenga-i-Ariki-ai-a Kahumatamomoe were named by Ihenga , a grandson of the captain of the Arawa canoe Tamatekapua. This lake is stunningly beautiful, so serene :)

Looks so calm, love it!
