This is Kiama lighthouse on the NSW, Southcoast, taken during a violent thunderstorm at the start of this years storm season. My partner and i had originally walked out to the tip of the headland to photograph the storm coming in from the West but the storm was moving so quickly that by the time we had setup, bolts of lightning were exploding all around us prompting us to head for cover. Just before making it back to the car the wind and rain hit luckily my camera gear stayed dry!.... I didn't ;)

I remember that the storms in Aussie were sometimes pretty wild, you could see crazy formations of lightning...of course, I was never able to capture it like you could
