Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

This photo was taken at Lake Pukaiki, New Zealand. The mountain tops had been covered in snow over the night and it was a very beautiful sight. Some scenes were actually filmed from this area for the The Lord of the Rings movies.

New Zealand, North Island

The volcanic area in the center of the Nothern Island is a great setting for some nice hiking. The vast landscape features some rough beauty and a mellow mixture of colors.

We were at Lake Macquarie, NSW. Our holiday home was just by the lake side. We went for a stroll during sunset and captured this. The calm lake is reflecting the colourful clouds like a mirror. Very beautiful view.

What an amazing capture! Thank you for your participation. Tomas

Thank Tomas!

Manta rays often congregate at certain reefs known as cleaning stations, where small fish can be seen cleaning their skin and removing parasites from their bodies. This particular cleaning station was at Lady Elliot Island on the southern Great Barrier Reef.

I could still remember those cold and windy day when my Sister and I had to climb this magnificent rock formation. I was literally on my hands trying to climb the face of the cliff. One thing I remember was to take the climb one step at a time. Like how I sometimes overcome adversity in life. Taking it one day at a time.

Wow, stunning image! Tomas

The spectacular view from the top of Roy's Peak on New Zealand's south island. It's 1400meters up from the car park just a few miles outside of Wanaka. I was up there for sunset and was the only person staying in the freezing November winds. It was great to have such a view for myself :-)

amazing !!!!

Great capture!!

Well, like you have said it yourself - a spectacular view!

I took this shot at Was-O-Tapu in Rotorua, New Zealand.
It's a geothermal area and what you see in the picture is the famous Champagne Pool !!!
This hot spring is really toxic and up to 75 degrees hot, so it's better to watch from safe distance :)

Pretty amazing once again! Tomas

A classic, the great ocean road under the rain :) !!!
While Australia is a famous place for it's warm weather, the south east tip including Melbourne and the great ocean road is very particular when it come to spend a warm sunny day!

Here the Gibson step under the grey sky.

Location: Great Ocean road, Australia.

Thank you, I thought a black and white post would be a good idea to change the colours habits ;)

I took this photo during a helicopter ride over The Great Ocean Road in Victoria. These limestone stacks are collectively called 'The Twelve Apostles'. The scenery along the shore is spectacular. It was easily the best helicopter ride of my life. Worth every penny!

Great capture! Thank you so much for sharing with us!

I'm glad you like it. Thank you for hosting this wonderful competition. Enjoying every bit of it.

Thanks for this initiative! This photo was taken at Mt. Cook National Park in New Zealand back in 2015. After a very cloudy morning, the low lying blanket of clouds suddenly parted and revealed the snow capped mountains in the distance. We had no idea where Mt. Cook was until the sky opened up. This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

I would love to switch the places right now:).... Tomas
