Hello fellow steemians,

I am starting the week #8 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to continent of Asia. If you like to participate then place your personal image from your travels within Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and the best 10 posts will get my upvote. I will then pick the best picture of that day that I will highlight in the separate post next day to bring the winner some extra publicity and personally visit the blog of that steemian and upvote his/her most recent post. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically be entered into other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 150 SBD in total. So far I have given out approximately $700 in upvotes and 100 SBD in rewards.

Bali Island is always worth as visit. Actually we went there for some great surf but of course we found the time to explore the island as well. Near Ubud you can find a lot of picturesque terraced rise fields, but also a lot of tourists these days... ;)

Wonderful entry, thank you so much for your participation. Tomas

Was invited on this wonderful trip to Phuket and after that, we took a boat trip out to visit some of the islands a few miles offshore, I loved the scenery and the sapphire-colored water.
Hope that travel within your own country counts.

What a great entry for the challenge. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon.

Masada is an ancient fortress in southern Israel built on top of a plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. You can actually hike up here but if you're doing it in summer, you need to start early because temperatures soar about 40 degrees Celsius. When you're standing up here, it's clear why this spot was chosen as a fortress and stronghold because soldiers could see for miles in each direction for any potential invaders. And that view of the Dead Sea is so incredible!

Fabulous image! The winner announcement will be coming soon. Please stay tuned. Tomas

After a Typhoon in September, with all the pollution washed out of the air, I took this shot with my LGV10 phone in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Old Hong Kong often contrasts nicely with modern urbanization, especially on the water where old boat building and seafaring traditions live on.20170908_170254-2-2.jpg

Absolutely wonderful post! Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas

Thanks for the opportunity to take part! I'll be back next time with a little more of Asia :)

Asian Sunday week 8 - Fisherman of Guilin

It's sunday again. Today want to share with you another picture of the Guilin Fisherman. Back in the days they were real cormorant fisherman. Nowadays they work as models for tourists 😜 The riverbed of the Liang River and the famous Karst landscape mountains in the background.

Another great week of images lies in front of us. Thanks Tomas @czeachglobalhosts for this contest and everybody stay healthy and happy!

Wow, what an incredible photo @justdentist. Perfect light... telling an epic story!

Thank you so much. I have never seen such a beautiful setting as this one before. Been in the shallow water for 4+ hours and they went by like lightening. If you are in the Guilin area, check out this spot!

I belief you! I'm definitely adding this area to my bucket list! ;)

What is the #1 spot on your list right now? On my #1 spot is ICELAND and BALI 😉

There are too many, and most of equal epicness. ;) Most of South America is on there - I've never been to South America. I leave for Mauritius on Thursday and next year I'm hopefully going to Slovenia and Croatia, and possibly Poland again. ;)

O-yes, and ICELAND is definitely on there... looks incredible.

what's those black images behind?? trees? Mountains?

These are mountains. Green ones at day and black at night 😉 Look up Karst landscape Guilin. Hope you like the picture.

I took this picture from my phone while walking down to kagbeni valley from Muktinath temple; a famous religious place for both Hindus and Buddhists. I simply don't know the name of mountain because this kind of mountains are common, and nobody simply cares their name.

What a fabulous entry. Thank you so much for your submission!

Photo taken in Thar Desert of Rajasthan close to the boarder between India and Pakistan and not far from Jaisalmer . It was taken in a safari with camels in late afternoon before the sunset.

Thank you for taking part in the challenge. Great entry!

thx. till next challenge :)

It's my first time to join this challenge and browsing through the entries I've seen that most of the photos are of nature and landscapes. So I decided to join the challenge with my cityscape instead to offer variety.

Here's my description:
Singapore, also known as the Lion City, has always been known for its architectural wonders. Many of its iconic structures can be seen when you walk around Marina Bay Sands. In the photo we can see the Singapore Flyer and the Helix Bridge.
