Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #29 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa

Thailand is the second largest exporter of rice in the world. One estimate says 16 million Thai people earn their living as rice farmers. I took this photo when I visited Chiang Mai last October and had the chance to see some rice fields up close. The lush tropical green in this part of the world is simply stunning to me.

Chiang Mai is a very nice area. The colors of this photo are typical of northern Thailand. I like these rice fields and have dried rice spouts in my flat at home in Austria.

What a great entry with some interesting information! Thank you Matt.

Sunrise at Mt. Rinjani (3,726 meters or 12,224 ft). This is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. Mt. Agung - the highest volcano on Bali island, which recently erupted - is visible on the back-right. All three of the Gili Islands can be seen before it. On the left side in the clouds the perfect cone shape of Rinjani is visible. The picture was taken the end of August 2017 and the trekking of the volcano was the highlight of my journey in Indonesia.

What a fabulous entry! Thank you so much for that. Tomas

Congratulation for the climb of Mt. Rinjani, and the reward was this great view and this unique photo.

I agree. The climbing was hard but after the sun started rising I totally forgot about the cold and the wind :)

A misty sunrise over Mt Everest, also known as Chomolungma or Sagarmatha, towering above at a massive 8,848 metres (29,029 ft). The summit of Mt Everest has less then 33% of the oxygen available at sea level. The highest mountain on earth, Mt Everest is in the Mahalangur Range of the Himalayas and sits on the international border between China (Tibet Autonomous Region) and Nepal.

Wow! Truly stunning!

Sharjah is the third largest and third most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, forming part of the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. It is located along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula.

The city is a centre for culture and industry, and alone contributes 7.4% of the GDP of the United Arab Emirates. The city covers an approximate area of 235 km² and has a population of over 800,000 (2008).

Have spent there half day back this January and was really lucky to get such a bloody colourful sunset at the end of the day

There are many fresh water lakes in Nepal with breathtaking scenery of landscape and mountain ranges. But Gosaikunda is special because it is very sacred place for Hindu devotees for it's religious significance as mentioned in many Hindu Holy Books.

Fabulous image! Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

This is the charm of sunset at Lhoknga beach, Aceh Province, Indonesia. This beach is a favorite place to see the sunset, and also the ocean is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean. Inside this photo object, I shot two tourist silhouettes taking pictures against the background of the sunset.

When I was in Petra Jordan, on our 2nd day I got to snap this photo looking down on the Treasury. On the first day we didn't make it this far due to torrential rain which caused the canyon to flood. It only happens once a year apparently, I felt like Indiana Jones on this awesome adventure ☺

Thank you kindly for your entry and sharing this awesome place with all of us. It sure is on the list of places I want to visit one day. Tomas

My photo was taken in a place called Sea level 0, which is a prominent Palestinian territory near Jericho. This place you can not miss if you are going from Jerusalem to the dead sea. From this point you will continue to fall several hundred meters of altitude then you see a Sea.

Thank you so much for your continued contribution and this wonderful entry!
