Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Africa.
See the winner of the last week´s African Wednesday @jpphotography with the following entry:
Camel Silhouette at Sunrise in Sahara, Morocco. When I got up early in the morning to capture the sun rising over the Moroccan Sahara, the camels were already awake. Their silhouettes made for some great shots against the rising sun.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Hiking in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Many people visit Wadi Rum, the most beautiful desert of Jordan, only on a Jeep tour, but there are some beautiful, if hard to find treks. Since my shoes were soaked from a rainy morning in Amman, I decided to go for a walk in my flip-flops, but they broke on the way and I ended up scrambling over these rocks barefoot!

Composite image of a bio luminescent wave crashing on the shores of Nelsons Beach in Jervis Bay and a close-up of the Milky Way core. Both photo's were taken on the same night however the core had risen much higher by the time I managed to capture this wave crashing. The sky is 25 photo's stacked for noise reduction and the foreground is a single image.

The burning sand. Deep calm and colorful sunset at the sandy sunes of Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Humid sea air often causing deep red colors of sunset. Low shooting point to get more unusual composition and final view. Enjoy it!

Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is one of the natural world wonders and also the world's biggest waterfall. I took this shot when it was only at 20% water flow, so you could just imagine it at 100% water flow. Such an amazing place to visit.

Bahia Palace, Marrakech
"Bahia" means "brilliance" and brilliant is the word that describes this extravagant palace best. Even though only small parts are accessible to the public, the palace certainly is a great sight to visit on a trip to Marrakech.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.
Driving around Tenerife, the Canary Islands, I found a beautiful beach with black volcanic sand and some interesting rock formations. There was high tide and this unusual rock was surrounded by water though, so I needed to add some interest to the foreground and composed the big boulders to the frame.
Part of the columns of the forecourt of the Philae temple in Egypt. Not much people around during our visit so we could explore more this Greco-Roman complex that is located on an island.
Sunrise over the Nile
Very calm and gently colorful sunrise at Aswan, Egypt. Shot from upper deck of cruise ship while our last overnight on board. Had to wake up pretty early to check whats going on around. Well, result was pretty good for efforts done :)
