7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #20 – winner announcement!
@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:
The spectacular view from the top of Roy's Peak on New Zealand's south island. It's 1400meters up from the car park just a few miles outside of Wanaka. I was up there for sunset and was the only person staying in the freezing November winds. It was great to have such a view for myself :-)

@photofreediver Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:
To see icebergs in Greenland is the dream of many people. For our freedivers team this was also the purpose of our trip. But on the tops of the icebergs, we certainly did not stop. We became one of the first people in the World who saw the beauty and grandeur of the underwater part of the ice giants.

I'll preface this with saying I have a terrible sense of direction. I took this photo in the old medina of Tangier, Morocco. The winding streets go up and down throughout the medina and I (and my colleague) got lost looking for a particular store. But in our very long walk throughout the medina, I had the chance to take photos like this. And eventually we found the store!
Quiver Trees at Dawn, Namibia
My first day in Namibia did not disappoint. I traveled with a group of photographers to the Quiver Forest, a place for which the photographs had not prepared me.
The Quiver Forest is actually privately-owned land — the Guriganus Farm — and the “trees” which make up this otherworldly forest are not actually trees at all, but plants. Their fibrous trunks are easy to hollow out and were once widely used as quivers for arrows.
This is a beautiful shot.
It looks like a drawing, (from surrealism maybe?) :D especially if this aren't the trees
Absolutely stunning image and entry! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas
Another shot from the top of cruise ship while travelling up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan.
Stunning colourful sunrise and you cans see air balloons rising up (probably with a tourist to see The Valley of the Kings from the top
Enjoy the scenery :)

Amazing colors! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
The lion, king of the savanah. Male lions are easily recognized by their manes.
We saw him during our trip through Botswana.
What an impressive animal. He was very relaxed and not scared at all.
One of the big five at a close-up! Great job. Tomas
This is a photo of the Victoria Falls (locally called "Mosi-oa-Tunya" meaning “smoke that thunders") at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, taken from a helicopter. These are seen as the world's biggest waterfalls and one of African's natural wonders. For me an absolute highlight of my Southern African tour!
What an image! Stunning. Thank you so much for your submission. Have a great day. Tomas
What a view! Thank you for this wonderful shot. Tomas
A true Berber
Our guide to the Sahara was a Berber who had been born in the desert. He moved to the city to study, but he later went back as he said he missed it too much. I can understand why. The tranquility of the desert is not easy to find anywhere else.
Thank you so much for your submission. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming shortly. Tomas
We all know who is king in animal’s world – lion! When I was young I watched animated movie – The Lion King, and from then on I always wanted to see this majestic animal in their natural habitat. My wish came true in 2015, while traveling in Namibia on our first safari day in Etosha NP.
Hope you like my photo of the king.

That is a real Africa:)....
Yes :) See you in Europe ;)
Another picture from my travels to Uganda. This time it's the Zebras. I took this picture of a mother and cub duo standing in tall grass while we were in the middle of our walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Standing so close to them was such a thrilling experience. One I'll never forget.
Great pic! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us here on Steemit. Tomas
Thank you. You're always welcome. :)
Beautiful place and picture!

Tanzanian Sunset
We were out in the bush camped with nothing but tents and a few maasai standing guard. We were told lions were prevalent in the area and that it was dangerous to wander past the perimeter of our camp, especially at night. I was a part of a health care team providing basic services to tribe's people far from the beaten path. I had only been in Africa a few weeks, and most of it was training within the comfortable walls of our compound. This was our first real experience. I had traveled before, but never with the ability to meet a need. It was such a new feeling to be welcomed in as an outsider. The maasai who guarded us were willing, they had even prepared two of their goats and passed their fermented milk drink freely. This sunset was the beginning of new adventure.
Stunning image, fabulous entry. Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
