Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 Steem!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Africa.

While on a bush walk in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, we came across this herd of Zebra. They were on their way to join forces with a herd of wildebeest for the night. As Zebra have very good eye sight and wildebeest have very good smell, they stick together at night for more chance of surviving through the night.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 Steem in total.

Flying over the Hill Inlet towards Whitehaven Beach in Queensland's Whitsunday Islands is just incredible. I photographed this on my third lap in a sea plane, the pilot had been circling a few times so I could get the photos I had in my head.

Watching the sun set over the Southern Ocean from Kangaroo Island in South Australia, was just an amazing way to end the day on the island. The colours in the sky and the calm waters was just perfect.

Meet a lion is not really easy even when we know that they are not far. I was lucky these day, two lions were willing to do model for me ! Kenya.
We spent a day out quad bike riding through the sand dunes in the Swakopmund desert in Namibia. It's sure was alot of fun out there on the bikes. The land scape felt like we where on another planet.

The funeral complex of Djeser in Saqqara, Egypt is an important work of Egyptian history because it is the first time that the tomb of the king takes the form of a pyramid. The beginning of this tradition was born in Saqqara. Unfortunately, an earthquake in 1992 almost destroyed the site and we cannot visit inside the pyramids.
Which is your favourite animal? My is monkey.
This photo would almost make hippo my favourite :) We saw a lot of them in South Africa. They are really interesting and cute, however they are very dangerous as well...
