Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @softa:

Autumn view from the ruins of the Oltářík Castle, located in the Central Bohemian Mountains. This castle is ideal for watching sunrises and sunsets as it is seen east and west. Yesterday I had a few minutes to get to the top in time, but as you can see it did.

Amazing underground spaces, an extensive network of corridors leading to the bottom of our most famous abyss (Macocha). Navigation on the underground river, illumination, fantastic formations. There is always good in the Moravian Karst. Only some "fools" traders in Krash are a bit degraded by access.

I think this might be the first time ever if I am not mistaken Macocha makes it to the contest. It sure is a spectacular place and well worth featuring today. Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas

Beautiful natural surroundings of the Silver Lake in Opava lit by the sunset. The lake used to be a gypsum quarry that got flooded by the nearby River Opava in 1964. Soon after the quarry got filled with water, the place became a popular relaxation area for residents of the region and even international visitors from Poland as Opava is located very close to the Czech-Polish border.

The beauty of Prague Castle, Vltava River and Charles Bridge is introduced by Nodame Cantabile and several traveling programs. Even if you really look from wherever you become a picture. Although Charles Bridge is wide, it is very crowded with stalls, street performers and tourists. Prague castle seen from the Charles Bridge at night was very fantastic.

Castle Střekov

At the beginning of the 14th century, Jan Lucemburský built a strong defensive castle on the rocky bank of the River Elbe. After the raids of the Swedes, the castle was abandoned. The ruin was attracted by artists like K.H. Mácha, J.W. Geothe, or R. Wagner. Today you can see the castle with a guide or individually.

Panorama of Prague, especially of the Lesser Town roofs

The Lesser Town was established as a backdrop for craftsmen working for Prague Castle. But the advancing centuries have increasingly moved the nobility who wanted to be closer to the Sovereign. This transformation in the residential district of rich people was completed by Valdštejn at the beginning of the 17th century. But at that time Prague was no longer a royal residence.
The photo is taken from the Strahov Monastery.

Many times I was in Prague, but my legs were brought here for the first time. The vrtba garden is a magnificent, little gem of Prague crowded with sights and tourists. In the garden there are visitors, but not many. Retire not work, but in the back of the head do not breathe. The garden consists of several terraces decorated with flower beds, trees and a vineyard. There is a fountain and a small observation deck at the top. View of Prague is gorgeous. Not worse (and maybe better) than from Prague Castle.

Sedlec Ossuary
During your stay in Kutná Hora, you can not omit Ossuary. The mood resembles a chapel in Czermna, but it is undoubtedly much larger. The creativity of the creators is amazing, the biggest impression on us was the huge coat of arms and chandelier - made of bones and skulls, of course. A moment of reflection on passing away and what will happen after us.

Inside Of St. Vitus Cathedral
Prague is full of churches and cathedrals. I am in no way religious, however, the sheeer scale of this building need to be admired from the inside, as do the stained glass windows, statues and carvings. You have to pay to go in, but it is well worth the money, and it helps preserve a magnificent building.

If you like towers and like bird eye view pictures, this is your place. If the weather is clear you can see the city of Prague perfectly. I would suggest to approach the tower with the funicular. The Petrin Tower provides good views of Prague similar to the view you get from the castle just from a different Angle.

Cesky Krumlov
Medieval townscapes are left in the area surrounded by the Moldau, centered on the old castle. The red roof building looks like a picture book. Historically it is a region that continues to be influenced by the power of the great country, the powerful country, it is wonderful that the appearance of the former times remains.
