The chateau Bucovice is said to be the most valuable renaissance building in north direction from Alps. It was built from 1567 to 1582 by Jan Sembera and Italian architect Jacopo Strada. For almost 400 years there weren't done radical building adaptions.

Golden Lane, Prague Castle, Prague. According to the legends here at the time of Rudolph II. (1576-1611) alchemists lived. In fact, so-called red shooters lived here. It was the castle guard and the prison guards. Small craftsmen lived here when the castle ceased to be a representative residence of the Ruler.

The Přemysl Oráč ("Ploughman") Memorial is one of the most important places associated with the beginnings of Czech national mythology and the tradition of Czech statehood. The memorial complex, which has been a national cultural monument since 1962, can be found between Stadice and Řehlovice 8 km west of Ústí nad Labem.

The largest city of northern par of the Czech Republic is Liberec. The Town Hall was built due to the architectural concept by Viennese architect, Franz Neumann. This is probably the reason, why it reminds the Vienna Town Hall. The look is so similar.

My first visit to Prague dates back in February 2012. And browsing through the photos i took, I discovered a very interesting photo - that till this day i still don't actually know the meaning of it. It's a photo of 4 human sized guns. It was taken around 50m away from the Charles Bridge. Is this still in Prague? Could anyone explain the meaning of it?

If you cross the Charles Bridge from Mala Strana and turn onto a parallel street, you can go to the German Embassy. It is very quiet, there are practically no crowds of tourists, or no ordinary population. It’s just how beautiful it is on these narrow gravel-lined streets. You are in a fairy tale from which you don’t want to return :)

So happy to be able to participate here again! Let me share this landscape shot that I took just a few hours ago, minutes before it started to pour from those dark clouds. The plants in the foreground are called ground elders and they are very common on Czech meadows and fields.
