Hello fellow Steemians!

I am here with another round of my photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below. I host this photo challenge twice a week - on Tuesday and Friday.

You can submit your entries in the current round from now until Tuesday, 6 AM (CET). Please, don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

The best 15 entries of the round will be rewarded with my upvote. I will also pick the absolute winner of the round from these 15 photos and reward him with an extra upvote on one of his recent posts published on the Steem blockchain. The winning photo will be also featured as the cover image for the next round of the photo challenge to give the author some more exposure and publicity.

There were many great entries submitted in the last round of the Prague/Czech Republic Photo Challenge and I had a hard time picking the absolute winner. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Monument to the heroes who committed the assassination of R.Heydrich, a representative of German Nazi occupiers, Bulovka, Prague. Yesterday it was 77 years old. (27.5.1942) It happened around here. Heydrich was the supreme Nazi who was wiped out during the war in Europe by the home resistance movement. In the following days, the Nazis murdered some 2,000 Czech patriots, including all residents of the village of Lidice. The monument depicts three male figures thrown into space. Two men are in uniforms, one in civilian clothes. So the paratroopers said they jumped out of the plane. The position also symbolizes self-sacrifice.

Congratulations, @krakonos! It is my pleasure to upvote one of your recent posts.

Thank you for your submissions everyone. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Visiting this place is a powerful experience. Other sculptor's works can be found in the surroundings.

Almost every town in Bohemia has a Baroque statue on the central square. Either alone or as part of a plague column or fountain. In the town of Mšeno it is a sculptural group. It was built in the early 18th century.

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. There is only one structure listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Villa Tugendhat. This villa is the most important European building of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Its symbiosis with the adjacent garden is more than evident from this photograph.

I love ice hockey and one my dreams came true in 2015 when we went to the Ice Hockey World Championships in Czech Republic. It was the first time we're there, so we stayed for a couple of days in Prague before we continued our trip to our final destination Ostrava where Finland played their group games.
