Panoramic view of Prague during sunset from the Vitkov Hill. Depicting Jan Zizka riding a horse, the monument below was unveiled in 1950 on the anniversary of the battle on Vitkov, in which Jan Zizka´s army defeated the Crusaders' troops at this place. Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this amazing close-up shot by our new contributor @dalexx with the following description:

I took this picture on our Way to the Prague Castle. It is a Church and called "Veitsdom". A really beautiful Church on a huge Hill. The Way up wasn't the easiest, but upon the Hill you have such an amazing overview of Prague... Awesome! We celebrated an anniversary there and will definetly come back to see also some Parts ouside the City Centre.

Other view of the famous Charles Bridge. In this photo, many different architectonic styles can be observed. The gothic of the bridge and its tower. The neo-renaissance style of different buildings including the National Theater.

Anytime I walk around I can´t help but say woow! Prague Castle is an important symbol of Prague and Czech Rep. Founded in the 9th century, it is the largest castle area in the world. No colection of photos from Prague will ever be complete without a panoramic shot of Prague like this one.

Me posing (enthusiastically :D) in front of sculptures at an outdoor art exhibition near the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Prague Vysehrad on a cloudy day in summer 2014. Located at a rocky promontory above the Vltava River, Vysehrad is one of the oldest parts of Prague, dating back to the middle of the 10th century.

I have to add that the sculptures were designed by Olbram Zoubek (Czech sculptor and designer).

Bee Palace (Palác Včela) (Karla IV. str. 92/1) is a Neo-Renaissance building in Ceske Budejovice built in 1896 . The house was built by Josef Priesel based on the design by architect Paul Brang . Until 1923 the German credit association Biene was located here, so the building was called the Palác Biene (Bee Palace).

In August I went to my first wedding ever. It was held in Písek just one hour from Prague! After a day full of food an alcohol (they literally eat and drink so much for weddings in Prague) I needed to go for a little walk and saw this amazing sunset! The picture might not be the best quality, but I think you get an idea of how beautiful the sky was!

The Charles Bridges gets REALLY crowded during the day It is just packed with people crossing and sight seeing. There are also merchants on the bridge trying to sell you random souvenirs. I didn't buy any while I was there.

Well, since I have already posted the same monument in frontal view, again, here is the one from the street below the hill.
Had very bad light, so quality is questionable, but it is amazing just how massive the statue is!
Cheers! :)

Národní galerie v Praze - In this gallery you'll see only the finest art. we spent there almost 4 hours for around 11 euros. entrance for students is free for permanent exibitions. Masters of world's painting: Kokoschka, Schiele, Munk and more. We paid for the little book that told about each one and were glad we did or else we would have missed out on a lot of the story behind each one.

Love locks are everywhere around the world. These are in Prague.

I captured this moment before the moment I first walked on the Charles Bridge while I was in Prague on holiday two weeks ago.

I really like this one! Good luck :-)

Thank you :-)

Waw, Elise! This is amazing! I love this picture!

Thank you! :)

Wow, such an amazing photo, love how you've captured the locks while blending in the city, river and bridge in the background. Very picturesque!

Thank you!:) Prague is beautiful indeed!

This photo was made in The Prachov Rocks, which are situated in Cesky Raj. I am interested if anyone can find the same stone with the same number on it. If you do just let me know. :-D
