A Rainy Weekend in Byron Bay
Our first little camping trip since we´re back in australia led us to the beautiful town of byron bay which is about 250km away from the sunshine coast where our base is.
Ein regnerisches Wochenende in Byron Bay
Unser erster kleiner Campingausflug seit wir wieder in Australien sind, führte uns in die wunderschöne Stadt Byron Bay, die etwa 250 km von der Sonnenküste entfernt ist, wo unsere Basis liegt.
We already had a car which a friend bought for us. so we just needed a little camping equipment and we were ready to go. Most of the stuff we bought second hand on a garage sale or on gumtree. Just for the tent we went to a camping store, as we knew the weather is not going to be any good. But what we didn´t know at that time was that it was one of the best investments we´ve ever made, as it was raining had nearly every day.
Wir hatten schon ein Auto, das ein Freund für uns gekauft hat. Also brauchten wir nur ein bisschen Campingausrüstung und wir waren bereit zu gehen. Das meiste Zeug haben wir auf einem Flohmarkt oder auf Gumtree gekauft. Nur für das Zelt gingen wir zu einem Campingladen, da wir wussten, dass das Wetter nicht gut sein wird. Aber was wir damals nicht wussten, war, dass es eine der besten Investitionen war, die wir je gemacht haben, da es fast jeden Tag regnete.
At least the waves were alright on some days so I had a little fun in the water. There is several surf beaches in Byron Bay and actually there is always a spot where you can ride some little waves. As you can see on the photos the sun came out sometimes.
Zumindest waren die Wellen an einigen Tagen in Ordnung, also hatte ich ein bisschen Spaß im Wasser. Es gibt mehrere Surfstrände in Byron Bay und tatsächlich gibt es immer einen Ort, wo man ein paar kleine Wellen reiten kann. Und wie man auf den Fotos sehen kann, kam manchmal die Sonne heraus.
But the rain was so annoying that we decided to apply for another house sit and we immediately received a confirmation for it.
On our last day the rain stopped, so we decided to go to the nightcap nationalpark which is about 1 hour drive away.
The good thing of all the rain is that everything is lush and green and the "Protesters Falls" in the Park were just amazing.
Aber der Regen war so ärgerlich, dass wir beschlossen, uns für ein anderes Haus zu bewerben, und wir bekamen sofort eine Bestätigung dafür. An unserem letzten Tag hörte der Regen auf, und so beschlossen wir, in den Nachtclub National Park zu fahren, der etwa eine Autostunde entfernt ist. Das Gute an all dem Regen ist, dass alles üppig und grün ist und die "Protesters Falls" im Park einfach unglaublich waren.

Ohgott, die Fotos sind klasse und da erwacht in mir die Reisesehnsucht.
Nach 6 Wochen Deutschland fühlt es sich für mich an wie 6 Monate und ich merk jetzt schon, ich will wieder weg, weg in den Süden, der Sonne hinterher :D

vielen lieben dank @asperger-kids. das glaube ich dir. wie lange dauert es denn noch bis ihr wieder losziehen könnt? bei uns waren es genau 6 Monate zu Hause. Allerdings hatten wir das Glück das es Sommer war und das wetter super.
Das ist leider nicht klar, kommt auf die Finanzen an, wenns gut läuft im Januar, wenn wir eher das Gefühl haben, es wird finanziell zu knapp, suchen wir feste Jobs für 1 Jahr um wieder aufzutanken.
ja das schadet manchmal nicht wirklich. in den 6 Monaten zu Hause haben wir auch beide gearbeitet. Das gibt uns jetzt ein wenig mehr Freiraum, da wir mehr Geld paren konnten. Wünsch euch viel Erfolg!!
