These common seal pups, on the Isle of Skye coast, had hopped up onto the rocks and were stranded until high tide. The older seals didn't make the same mistake.

A few young red deer were spotted along the loch at Glencoe.
A mother porpoise with her calf. These are the world's second smallest whale and were spotted off of the coast of the Isle of Skye.
As well as a few seals popping there heads up, a pair of dolphins made an appearance at Fort George (which is well known for such sightings). This photo was taken from a huge distance but shows the dolphin's tail after a leap.
Golden Eagles can be spotted in the Highlands but after enhancing this photo this one turned out to be a Buzzard—still an awesome bird of prey.

Scotland's coastline is a great place to see a variety of sea birds, from puffins to guillemots. These oystercatchers were snapped on the East coast at Fort George.
Landscapes
Tucked away in the Cairngorms National Park lies the biggest inland beach in the UK. Part of a 55,000 ache estate, the views are awesome.
