TrailTuesday - Mountains with Friends Part #9 - Botmaskop to Jonkershoek Mission

Happy #trailtuesday everyone! Today I feature one of my favourite trails... the route up Botmaskop linked to the Jonkershoek valley.

You start with a climb of about 800m and then run on a narrow ledge with insane views of Simonsberg Mountain, Pieke, Pniel and the Jonkershoek Valley. By the time you drop down into the Jonkershoek Valley on technical single tracks your legs are jelly, but who cares... the views and company made it worth the suffering! ;)

Awesome trail shots, I wish I could come for a trail run with you guys there! What did you clock up distance wise this time? The elevation looks killer!

That would be great... let me know when you ever in Stellenbosch. ;) We did a very chill run on the day with lots of stops for viewing the great scenery: 14.5km, 936m ascent... stats below.
