@promobot You have un-voted a few minutes ago a post for which I paid 40 Steem to upvote.

I have been using your upvote bot service for a while now, but this TOS change came out of nowhere and I was not aware of the changes, same as everyone else here.

When making such drastic TOS changes, you have to give at least a few days or a week's notice for users to be made aware of them, and fully refund the repeat customers of yours that were caught by surprise with these TOS changes.

Also, do your TOS imply that absolutely no other Upvote bot service can use your service to promote their occasional posts? I am not sure that was your intention(s).

I am hereby requesting the full refund of my 40 Steem in order to demonstrate the goodwill of your services and that this is not some kind of fraud or scam.

Thank you.

It has been more than two months.

You are right. But if their are not mainly promoting their services it might be allowed.

I am hereby requesting the full refund of my 40 Steem in order to demonstrate the goodwill of your services and that this is not some kind of fraud or scam.

Since we can't get back the voting power we spent on your mistake-post it's unfair to expect of us to send you money.

@ promobot Your TOS was not visible on steembottracker.com until recently, so you have not appropriately informed your service's users.

"You are right. But if their are not mainly promoting their services it might be allowed." What does this statement even mean? That is very vague.

I think that your mistake is that you have mistakenly un-voted the post for which I paid 40 Steem to upvote, and are now trying to avoid refunding the 40 Steem. I paid for a promotion service which you advertise, and I have not received the service after having paid for it.

I kindly ask you once again to refund the 40 Steem.

Thank you.

Your TOS was not visible on steembottracker.com until recently, so you have not appropriately informed your service's users.

Our Terms of services were made available on SteemBotTracker in the first days the feature to add one was available to the interface and than was also about 2 months ago.

I kindly ask once again for you to make an exception and to refund the 40 Steem.

If you read our ToS you would know that @promobot can remove any vote for arbitrary reasons for a 50% refund.

Hoping this give you an idea of the chances of reverting 100% of your mistake.

Alright then. I am awaiting the 50% refund of the 40 Steem I sent for your service so that we can close this case.

Reserve the right to retract an upvote without refund if used to promote:

  • Vote trading services.

  • Resteeming services.

I am now made aware of this point in your TOS. I kindly ask once again that you refund the Steem sent as no service was provided. Thank you.

Well, I did use your bot for a few months already and never had an issue. From now on, I have been "formally" made aware of your TOS.

I ask to explain why it happened that the bot too few voted. I found a round with a high percentage of profit, I made a bet of 10 SBD for a round with a profit of 205%, and the prombot voted for me only $18, that is, after deducting the curations payment, I will loss, not to mention that money is now stuck for a week and I can not use another bot. This is cheating on your part, I demand to return the difference in money or vote with a profit of 205% as it should be.

The first sentence of terms of service explains it.

does not give votes worth more than the amount paid for promotion.

Promobot is not to be used for directly profiting from the votes you buy.

What then is the point in the existence of this bot? At the expense of users' losses, further enrich the millionaires-investors who are already too rich? I will hide this bot in the tracker and will never use it again. And to all my friends I will say that this bot is a fraudster, who does not allow to make a profit and brings only losses. I really hope that the money stolen from me will not bring you joy

The issue with this bot does not seem to be the upvote %. It is actually quite competitive for most rounds. However the fraud/theft happens with the use of their TOS and the ability to withdraw their upvote entirely at their discretion without proper warning or notification, and to not refund the customer at all, therefore generating a -100% ROI for some users.

This certainly needs to be addressed and we hope the bot operator does take this community feedback into account and make changes to their TOS and service.

You are now correctly speaking, but you are not an angel in this respect either. Once I send my 1 SBD to your bot, but in spite of this the bot did not vote and did not return the money. I was a beginner at the time, I did not know how to use the site's services, and unfortunately I did not save the screenshots of the transaction, but I ask you to raise your level of attention so that innocent users do not suffer from accidental or deliberate failures in your bot's voting system.

Apologies for that negative experience. Sometimes the Steem API does have issues, making all bots miss upvotes. It does not happen often, but when it does, the upvote buyer has to contact the bot operator(s) as soon as they can in order to rectify the situation. The bot operator then has to manually find the transaction(s) in question and confirm the amount(s), and sometimes it is more complicated if a lot of time passes since the upvote bid was sent since steemd.com is a great tool, but not very user friendly when trying to search for a transaction that happened a while ago.

The Steem blockchain is transparent and everyone can see the transactions. Screenshots are not required.

We have went ahead and upvoted your comment to compensate you.

Best Regards and Steem on! :)

I thank you for your sympathy, this was the first time that I was compensated for losses. And thank you for the help, that's why I decided to write here, because despite the fact that in the ad banner, with I first open this site, big, fast and easy money was promised without any investment, but I was already tired of losing money is due to the fact that the bots do not vote or vote incorrectly.
Regards, Anastasia

How does it bring only losses if it has the best protection agains't overbidding of all other bots? (max 6%).

Since the round wasn't filled you haven't lost anything for your promotion.

  1. No one warned anyone that a bot can give a percentage of the vote that is different from the one indicated in the information of round (this is the first lies). I deliberately waited 2 days for the round with a good percentage of voting, and when I found such a round - then instead of getting it, I got a deception.
  2. Having not received any profit, my money is frozen for a week (at this time the rate of STEEM is falling, for a day I also loss at least 1 more SBD) - is the second deception. If I knew that a @promobot was voting dishonestly, I would not use it and would use other bots and other ways of earning money.
  3. You again deceive, you have a lower limit of not 6%, but -6% (minus). This is the third deception. Why the minus? Sense of using a bot that gives a loss? There should not be a minus at all, since I consider the purchase of voting not a gambling bet in a casino, but an investment that should give a guaranteed profit.
You invented a "fairy tale" about that bots should not give any profit at all and should serve only to promote the post to the top. That is, you want us to invested our money from the outside and and paid our money for obviously unprofitable service.
As for moving to the top - this is also a fairy tale, invented by scammers-whales in order to rob us. Even if your post gets to the top - no whale for him will vote for free, because this vote can be sold for good money (and in the case of your bot - even more expensive than its cost price). You and others, like you did everything to ensure that we always were to lose, so that we lose money, and at the expense of losing our funds, we for a long time kept afloat a financial pyramid called Steemit, from which such as you received a monthly tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of dollars.
Of course, this is a great loss for me, in my country, where the average monthly salary does not exceed $30, it's a lot of money, but I will somehow survive it, and somehow manage it. But now let it be a heavy burden on your conscience.
Just another, the next person you robbed =(

Promobot is meant to be used to get more attention to your content by raking it higher and does not give votes worth more than the amount paid for promotion.

I understand your concept but then you should have steembottracker updated to say your max ROI will be 0% after curation. This will save you and others who use the bot lot of time and frustration. I already wrote to @yabapmatt but didn't hear back.

Protection from overbidding that limit your promotion cost to 6.5%.

If you are offering 0% ROI, it should be 0% overbidding. Just seems fair.

I would use your bot if you had these two things in place.

What are we playing? I thought i 'd get 168+ $ for writing "tos" too :)

I can't use your bot, always you say "Promobot is currently under maintenance. Should be back soon, sorry for the inconvenience". However I see other steemians using your services... What happend?

This post has received votes totaling more than $50.00 from the following pay for vote services:

promobot upvote in the amount of $168.49 STU, $246.64 USD.

For a total calculated value of $168 STU, $247 USD before curation, with a calculated curation of $0 USD.

This information is being presented in the interest of transparency on our platform and is by no means a judgement as to the quality of this post.

This post is rather cryptic. Trigger finger posting?

@promobot, are you bringing TOS (Terms Of Service) ?? That must be really cool

I had been using your service also, but wondering why once the betting had finished the percentages shown on bottracker were not aligned with what your bot was actually voting.
I'm still only new to all this and I am learning... upon seeing this obviously you have pre-warned people... but the information on bottracker is either wrong... or misleading.

I'm not complaining, lesson learned... I Didn't realise what I was doing was wrong.I just bought some steem and thought using a bot to transfer it to SP would financially be a beneficial thing, not a costly one.

I'm glad I found this, was a little confused before.

Although if your ROI is capped at a -%... why would people pick your bot over one that offers a chance of a positive vote... I think I'm confused again... or I'm not understanding something.
