Take the time to smile with friends and maybe even with enemies as well. It can be tough but you will not regret it in the long-run. Here is my photo from August 2010 at the Western Youth Institute (WYI), a retreat for young adults involved in The Salvation Army ministries, church activities, work, networking, camps, communities, etc. Once a year, we come together for WYI as a church family for fellowship, training, study, singing, for playing games, having fun, discipleship, encouragement, guidance, etc. We make new friends.

This is a picture of Revolution Hawaii (RevHI) members. I was on the 2007-2008 team and this picture only has a few of the members from all of the teams from each year. In Revolution Hawaii, we did a lot of work and a lot of ministry. We learned about the meaning to life. We learn to live out love. We learned stuff and we did stuff. We got involved in different programs, ministries, churches, outreaches.

We had children ministries. We befriended people on the streets and shared meals with them. We encouraged some of them towards recovery programs. The director of RevHI, Rob Noland, is an amazing man, husband, and father.

We changed lives.
