Community Theater Day
Today I attended a youth theater production of a Sherlock Holmes play. It's the one for which I made a prop necklace. The kids did much of the work themselves, including painting the sets and gathering costume pieces.

The sets are minimalistic, but effective. The stage is divided into three scenes. The more frequently used sections look like painted plywood. On one side, some of the panels appeared to be foam insulation sheets, and they were swapped out between scenes as needed by the cast, also serving as their own stagehands.

This particular group is operated and funded by volunteers and donations. Support your local community theater if you have one, and consider starting one yourself if there isn't one already. Inspire creativity in your local youth!
Very cool! Looks like fun!
I also really like the necklace you made. It came out nice!
There was a scene where a pickpocket in Moriarty's criminal organization was taking advantage of a suffragette demonstration to purloin baubles and wallets from distracted onlookers. The magnetic clasp worked perfectly for a quick theft, and the wide band of "pearls" was visible from the back row where I was seated.
