Random Art in the City
I thought I would do a post of some Art I have seen on walks around the city this first piece Iactually was there while an artist was doing it or touching it up.
NYC is cool that when you walk around you often see art of various types around the city whether ist be official commissioned art or Graffiti style as I will share here
and I had to zoom in for this shot I was amused by the Character and the saying "Laugh now but one day I will be in charge"
and then for something a bit different
Now perhaps this isnt art, but it sure was colorful and eye catching with all the stickers on a power box on the side of a street
All photos on this blog are taken by myself, mostly with a Sony Mirrorless camera

I have heard of Banksy he even has or had a shop here but i never visited it
Graffiti has come a long way. Now It's commissioned. At one time NYC was a cesspool of vandalism.
It sure has come along some os beautiful art, but the tagging
(Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)
Underpasses and raised railways that have some interesting
Murals, but these were painted by art students. I think.
I need to get some photos of these. I'm considering
This "Alliance" thing, but I need to know more;
I'm already stretched thin.

The alliance is basically a community of original content creators who have formed into sort of an extended family nothing much else than that

I like that type of Graffiti style art.
Some of the artists are so talented for Sur e
I love the first shot. The art work is amazing. Colourful and tastefully done. The power box is actually a piece that my son would call pathetic art. There are people who collect this. Surprises me, but who I am I to judge others taste in art.

Toronto has an entire alley dedicated to awesome art and it was pretty much a tourist attraction. Several people in the alley using the graffiti for background in videos and photo shoots it was preetty cool.
Thats cool I stopped over in Toromnto for one night many years ago but never got to see much of it
I love where graffiti has taken me over the last decade.or so~ :) It is usually a happy event when I come across it and I delight in trying to figure out just what the person is saying.

What gets me about graffiti is how it can often meld with ones mood when you see it
