Choosing actors for the protagonists works really well, and you open with some nice strong scene setting, vivid imagery that contrasts well with the subsequent dinner party. This is a technique I often appreciate, the hard hit which shifts expectations (in this case the murder porn) to highlight subtleties of the next setting. The co-stars award, the clock ticking, the momentary girl climbing of the of tv, you feign a few classic tropes, before carrying one further, and wrapping it up with a nice tension build to jump scare.
