Review: Apple Macmini Late 2012 | My First Mac Computer

in #technology7 years ago

Welcome back Steemitians , in this blog I will be reviewing my first Macintosh Computer that is the Apple Macmini Late 2017 I didn't purchase this pc instead I had won this in a competition in US and shipped it to my Dad's friend who then brought this along with him to India . At that time i.e 2014 the cost of this model was $999 and this was the last best model and I'll tell you why

Specifications

  • Intel Core i7 3615QM @ 2.3 GHz with Turbo boost upto 3.3 GHz and 6MB L3 Cache
  • 2 x 2 GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM
  • Intel HD 4000 Feeling ashmed :(
  • 2 x 1 TB 5400 RPM Apple Fusion Drive
  • Built in Speakers ( Thats F***ing Amazing )

Now comparing the specs to todays average we can see that the specs are kind of a mixed bag stuff . Though this is the last Macmini model which can be upgraded... You can upgrade the RAM, Storage.

The processor is still upto the mark even today and it only needs an upgraded RAM and an SSD to be more Awesome.

Ports / Input/Output

  • HDMI- in
  • Thunderbolt out
  • SDXC Card Slot
  • FireWire 800
  • 4 x USB 3.0 Ports
  • Audio output

It has all the required ports that I use in my day to day usage never had to use any adaptors or something.

Final View

Well I been using it for years and I would say it needs a RAM upgrade and an SSD and thats it . But speaking of the present moment it takes time to startup maybe around 1 min and 30 secs but after it loads you're set to work on the whole day and night I actually never switch off my pc infact I dont remember the last time I switched on my pc . I work on this pc and I also enjoy playing CS GO with my buddies @varunsangwan and @rahul.stan do make sure to check their blogs.
