Elon Musk said this would happen. I knew it was already possible. These guys JUST DID IT. A new record mileage for a single charge in an electric vehicle. They even go to Tesla and Apple to show off how they just beat them to it! Haha! You gotta see this! I'll be writing about batteries again in a future post, but this should wet you appetite in the meantime. . .

Fantastic. I just watched the BBC's pathetic top gear review of the Tesla roadster followed by Elon Musks comments. No wonder Top Gear died, while Tesla goes from strength to strength.
thanks for the comment @unclehermit I am glad Top Gear fell to the side. As much as I love Tesla, they are claiming to offer solutions in THE FUTURE, whilst THESE guys have just made a car that drives 4x as far per charge, and proved it. We don't get to see these developments on TV and ignoring this information when it is in front of us only perpetuates the optional ignorance to what is actually available and possible Today. Top Gear died? Its better than ever and funded by a less restrictive Amazon! That Tesla review was way too long ago for us to pain over it and it was made for people to open their eyes. In fact, Elon did not like the review but made him work to fix those details so now we can enjoy (well, those that can pay for it) an amazing lineup of vehicles.

Haha! True. How long til Solar panels are standard too I wonder. Though if they had driven at night without lights they also might not have gone as far anyway :)
Yes it is quite amazing we have moved for 9km/h to 1200km/h ,yet we seem to have less time then they had.
Wow 1200km/hr would be something. Thankfully I think that is just the mileage. But to be able to grow your own food and use the crop waste and surplus to produce my own fuel, without having to buy solar panels from Germany, that could go a lot further ;) Guess they had the time to think these things through.
Really amazing advancements these days in renewable energy. Have you heard of the solar roof shingles? I want them. They're more expensive upfront though
Yes the roof tiles are pretty awesome, though I think it will still be a while until everyone can afford them, or get to the front of the list for installation. In the meantime, people could probably all go off grid now, just by reexamining their needs vs wants for power. My whole like runs off a 75W solar panel. If I did my whole roof, I'd probably have 40x that in power, which I probably don't need, but it would still be cool to melt rocks or whatever one would get up to with that much power here.
