Seeing the World Through the Eyes of a Hacker!

Mr. Robot is an amazing story about an alone Isolated hacker named Elliot. The show starts with us, the viewer, pushed into the life of a schizophrenic young man who does not know how to relate to people on a personal physical level. Because of the lack of being able to connect with people he talks to an imaginary friend, which just happens to be us the viewer.

The only way that he manages to connect with "real" people in his life is through learning about them by hacking all of their online accounts and social media profiles. He justifies his actions by saying that he is protecting the nativity of those closest to his life. He feels that he will never have this naive simpleness in his life so he cherishes this in others.

Elliot is tormented by the flaws of society and how the the elites control people by exploiting the bugs (weaknesses) in each person. Yet he feels powerless to change any of this, because he is not "special". Despite the fact that he feels he can't change this, he still uses his hacking abilities to do what he feels will balance the scale of those who are taken advantage of.

By day he works for a cyber security firm called "allsafe", protecting one of the biggest corporations that exist called,"E-corp" (or as Elliot reprogrammed his mind to hear & see everywhere "evil-corp"). By night he is a vigilante hacker, sending anonymous tips to the police to take down pedophiles and others who have escaped the justice system.

Elliot Meets Mr. Robot

After protecting Allsafe from a DDOS attack, Elliot encounters Mr.Robot; Who seems to somehow know about Elliot preventing the DDOS attack and lures Elliot in to join his team called Fsociety. This is a team that Mr.Robot created to take down Evil-corp , the very system that Elliot is paid to protect. He is told that if he wants to stay in the group he must frame the CTO by putting his IP Address into the Data file when the FBI comes to investigate the DDOS Attack. In an attempt to fight back against the invisible hands that control all of us.

Elliot is now left with a choice, Live a normal life by pretending to be unaware of the flaws of society or to abandon his old life by fighting back against the elites that manipulate our daily lives.

I highly recommend that if you are not already watching this TV series, that you start to do so now. Much like the movie (originally a book) fight club with the counter movement against society, except with the new twist of adding technology. The way that we are immersed into the world of Elliot, feeling all his flaws and truths of his twisted perspective, is beautiful. Seeing the world through the perspective of hacker, using computer terms to make real world analogies, is very fascinating. Feeling the on edge aspect of each character develop is very exciting. It has been very fun for me to watch this series and I can barely stop watching each episode...... Actually, I think I am going to watch another one right now. Oh, and one last thing....

F@$k Society!

Mr. Robot explains everything that is wrong with the world within the first episode. As a techie and supporter of Bitcoin I was immediately hooked and tore through 15 episodes in a week.

Yeah, it really does! I love the twisted ways that it shines light on those wrong parts too. It doesn't just take the perspective of "this side is good and this side is bad; Instead it shows the flaws in all the characters in the that world. Agreed, I was immediately hooked too. Except I am savoring each episode, so I am only on episode 6. I did accidentally first start watching the beginning episode of season 2 and ruined the spoiler :p

Haha ouch! I should have followed your ruling... One episode per X amount of time... I just finished the second season yesterday. Now I have to sit it out for season 3. What a bummer!

Yeah, Kind of a bummer. But even though I know the spoiler the show is still awesome beyond belief! Haha, Yeah I did that with some really good TV series in the past. It really a weird exciting and disappointing feeling when you get to the end. I did that with rick and morty, burned through all the episode in a matter of days :p

Good to note for season 3. Just gonna wait a year now and start watching season 1 again spread out over a year.... Haha or just forget about it and set a reminder.

Haha, yeah, That sounds like a good strategy. Would suck if the show was canceled:p The set a reminder technique also sounds good. I will probably do that with rick and Morty.

Incredible series!!, but some chapter seems a mockery to the viewer...

I completely agree. Oh yes, the writers love to mock everything at certain times, including themselves. In episode five when they are breaking into steel mountain one of the characters part of Fsociety says there are probably writer now ruining what hacker communities really are.

Also it makes sense that the writer sometimes mock the viewer, after all we are just an imaginary character that Elliot made up inside his head to cope with his loneliness.

I think Elliots personal disorder very confusing and it's hard to follow the plot of the series. This kid is clearly very sick.

The rest of the series is cool, especially the plot about deleting world debt and replacing it with a digital currency. Maybe our potential future?

Yes, It can be, especially for those who like clear linear plots. but I really like it when stories are a bit convoluted like the movie Inception. As long as the ending doesn't turn out like Lost did Ill be happy.

Yeah, I enjoy it too. Also the conflict Elliot faces between living a normal life in the Society a part of him hates or Doing everything he can to try to changes it and destroy the invisible hand that control all of us.

Mr. Robot is like an updated version of Fight Club for our current generation - and in more than one way. I love it, thanks for giving it a nice write-up here!

Yeah, I completely agree. Since the show is a series, it allows for more time to explore what a character like that really thinks; Which I completely love. Lol yeah, I kinda accidently watched the first episode of season 2 before I watched anything else :( so I know exactly what you mean :p Your Welcome, thanks for the comment ^_^

Oh no, you Keyser Soze'd yourself? That's awful! Still the show is super enjoyable, even then.

Lol never heard of that term but yes I did do that to myself:( Like you said though it is still a freaking amazing series ^_^

It's a brilliant show. I was hooked immediately. Entertaining, but also a great piece of social commentary.

It really is, never seen anything quite like it. Yes, the social commentary is amazing. Sometimes I think that it might hit to close to home for "certain people/entities" and become canceled :(

really interesting thanks for the info..we had been recommended to watch this series from a family member, but we are very selective about what we watch and it seems this is the third time we have seen this recommended so I will check it out! thanks ballinconscious!

Yeah definitely, I love this show so much. Yeah I am very selective about the show I watch too because of how time consuming they can be. Why are you selective about the show you watch? Because I should warned you that there is a lot of drug usage, sexual content, and explicit language. Yes, if you don't mind these things definitely check it out. Your welcome, happy to help!

Well I am conscious of what I watch because there is an agenda of programming out there to entrap our minds in propaganda and false beliefs that run a narrative of FEAR to keep us disempowered. I am a very sensitive feeling person and I am affected by the things I watch...I laugh however at what others are offended by like the fact that Drugs usage ...or colourful language, not a problem, but violence and sexual/physical abuse disturbs my gentle mind.(to me pharmaceuticals are the real Drugs that also KILL or incapacitate our beautiful human societies).
Buen Dia Amigo!!

Oh yes, I completely agree and understand. I am slightly similar, yet I want to experience everything that society does, so I am mixed in my choices of what I chose to expose myself too.

You can spot the shows that add those aspect subliminally within the show and if you keep awareness of it being there it won't affect you as much. Propaganda, Predictive programming, and subliminal messages are very real things that affect all of us. Really The only thing we can do to protect ourselves is become aware of it while we are viewing it. Recently I was watching captain America: Civil war and it was full of propaganda and predictive programming. At one part the cleverly made a subliminally reference to remember September 11th that I consciously noticed. I will be making a post on that soon.

Yes, I laugh at what others are offended by too when the U.S. is full of drug usage (especially the thing that are not categorized as drugs like caffeine, sugar, and alcohol). Yes language is just a tool and it is best to let it not offend us based on the way other use that tool.

I will warn you then that Mr. Robot writers like to play with consensual sexual physical abuse, Like BDSM.

Yes, Pharmaceuticals are the worst mostly because they are disguised as a cure. to deceive like that is one of the biggest evils of all.
Heres to gaining awareness and growth, Cheers!

thanks for your reply and I respect your views on exposing yourself to what the culture has to offer....we all have an inner guidance and it is maybe a little rusty but it works and should be used on ourselves not others....:)
honestly with consensual whatever behaviour it is, it is not for me to judge what others do as long as it is consensual. I try not to judge others. I am a work in progress...hahaha

Yes, I feel that it is the only way that I can connect with those who are the most absorbed into "normal society" and disconnected from everything else.

I completely agree, to often do people think they know whats best for other, instead of holding all their focus on bettering themselves.

Ok, well all of it that I have seen so far has been consensual play that the show portrays, if that is acceptable for you to watch then I highly recommend this be one of the thing you add to your watching list.

We are all a work in progress, in an infinite never ending journey!

Sounds interesting now, think I might give it a try thanks upvoted.

Awesome, glad that your interested. I promise you wont disappointed. Thanks!
