Ho! Ho! Ho! Have A Tropical Christmas In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
I was in Kota Kinabalu the week before Christmas. Kota Kinabalu or more commonly known as KK is the state capital of Sabah. Both Sabah and Sarawak (where I am from) are located on the island of Borneo. While in KK, I decided to take photographs of things related to Christmas and to get an idea of how Christmas is celebrated.
Santa with a fat belly to collect gifts for the less fortunate.
Gingerbread house with happy elves.
A huge glittering Christmas tree in front of KK Hilton.
Although KK is located in the tropics, we have always imagine a white Christmas with snow covered roof and a snowman.
A small but brightly decorated Christmas tree.
A photo corner for families to take photographs together.
That is how we Asians perceive Christmas would be like in the Western world.
Children singing Christmas carols
A tropical Christmas tree in the Mount Kinabalu area.
A visit to Sabah is incomplete without going to the majestic Mount Kinabalu which is located 90km from KK.
During this Christmas season, I would like to wish you and your family a Blessed Christmas. May blessings of joy, health, wealth and happiness flow into your lives.

Merry Christmas @positivesteem!! Looks like you have enjoyed the christmas decorations in Sabah. Looking forward to your next post.
Which of the decorations do you liked the best? I think that the fat Santa with the big stomach is very creative and at the same time it can help to collect gifts for the needy.
I like the Santa too because of the joy that it can bring to others with the gifts that are collected.
nice to see such a beautiful place in malaysia. i hope i can travel there someday and have the chance to learn thier cultures too.
It is a very beautiful place to visit and to sight see. Besides Mount Kinabalu, you can also go the Tunku Abdul Rahman islands where there are beautiful beaches.
wow that's a great idea... i will search the place you suggested in google and see how beautiful it is... thanks for the information my friend.
