#Day 4 in Steemit: Someone Gave Me Free $XLM

Today was a spreadsheet kinda day for me.

Nevertheless, I'm glad that I got some real work done prior to the weekends.

If you are wondering what was the title of this post about .. basically I went to a Stellar meetup, organised my friends Bobby & TM who happened to own the second-largest cryptocurrencies tracker in the world — CoinGecko.

By the way, they generate 100 MILLION page views a month, right from the heart of KL, Malaysia. Crazy traction! Malaysia Boleh!

And oh, did you know Etherscan.io are by Malaysians as well?

Long story short, all participants received free lumens ($XLM) from Ella Qiang, the Director of Partnerships of Stellar. She flew in from Shanghai just to meet with our local crypto-community. Thank you Stellar for the generosity!

Sankalp Shangari, the Founder & CEO of Lala World was there too, and he gave us free lala tokens as well

For those who are into crypto and blockchain, here are the key takeaways from the meetup:

• at least 15-20 ICOs to launch this year on the Stellar Network.
• Stellar Decentralized Exchange (SDE) will be a big priority this year having hired a whole team just for it last year, heavily focusing on UI/UX.
• FIAT pairings on the SDEX may potentially be a reality.
• They run Stellar Build Challenge every quarter for the community to develop projects and they are thinking of doing a devcon this year.
