Wildlife Confessions 6: Kerry
A recent ABC News exposé highlighted the recent spate of violent crime perpetrated by migrant mainland Kookaburras against native Tasmanian wildlife.
However, Kookaburra community leader Kerry K places the blame squarely on the shoulders of the state government.
Sighting recent funding cuts to community outreach programs such as Kookaburra Kidz and Beak Buddies, she believes at risk youth are being forced onto the streets, where the majority of lizard assaults and nest jackings have occured.
