At the end of 1968, my dad was assigned to go as a correspondent to live in the German Democratic Republic for a period of several years.

On Tuesday, March 13, 1969, we left Venezuela. I suppose that in order to make this transition a bit more pleasant, the trip would not be direct, but we were going first to spend a week in Paris and then a month in London, where some friends of my parents lived. In this second city, my father accompanied us a few days and then went ahead to prepare our arrival in Berlin.

During our stay in London we visited the most important places and monuments, including, as this image shows, the famous square Trafalgar Square. In this image I appear next to the sculptures sculpted by Sir Edwin Landseer, which are said to have been made with bronze from a cannon of the French fleet, the same one that was defeated in the battle of Trafalgar and to which this square pays homage.

At the end of the publication I leave other images of the square, taken from some websites.
