1441 Pizzeria review - Best pizza chain in India

I had been to 1441 Pizzeria a few times before. The first time I went, I was very surprised by the quality of dough and the tomato sauce, as it was too close to authentic Italian Pizza. I go to this chain every chance I get, so I was very happy when an franchise opened at a 10 minute walking distance from my home.
This time when I went, I also got to know about the idea behind the name of the restuarant. After all 1441 is just a number. I found the answer on one of the walls. 14° 41° are the co-ordinates of Naples - the place in Italy from where this pizza place draws its inspiration. The name also has two barely noticeable dots.

The restaurant franchise I went to did not have a large seating capacity. I think pizza in India still is just a food that most people want to order in. Also, real estate is expensive, so may be this is all the space they got. Seating capacity is no morr than 25. The place is clean, and has a very nice ambience, wooden tables and red chairs. Green decoration gave a feel of an Italian restaurant as the flag colours were all there. The tables have all the right condiments - olive oil, chillie flakes and oregano.
Now, we knew how ordering works but for someone new, this is how to go about it.

You have to choose size, sauce, cheese and toppings. We ordered 2 classic non vegetarian pizzas and one vegetarian. 11 inch pizza wasn't available and the only option we had was 8 inch. I always go for Mama's sauce, that is a bit more tangy and spicy. The good thing is that pizza is prepared as per one's choice and one can customise it in terms of amount of cheese and toppings. I like relatively less cheese on the pizza as I like it to give a flavour and not overpower every other topping.

After the bread had been topped with sauce and cheese, it is time to choose the toppings. There is a huge variety for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. The only meat served is chicken but veggies include, sun dried tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, mushroom, broccoli to name a few. Once the toppings are in front of you, it also becomes confusing.

I went for black olives, pickle and chicken sausage, meatball and salami. Kind of like meat feast but one type of meat. The 8 inch pizza felt small to us, so I also ordered roast potatoes and chillie cheese toast as starters.
The food came quickly. Pizzas were super thin and absolutely stunning to look at.

The pizza was good in taste and I liked the thin crispy base. I could enjoy all the flavours of olive and cured chicken with tanginess of the tomato sauce. Chillie cheese toast had a thicker fluffier base and was bot too hot. The roast potatoes had a nice spice on top and were also good.
I was really full after all this. The bill was INR 1700, ~$25. Farely reasonable for the quality and quantity.
I will give the place 4.5 on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being best. Totally recommend that you try this taste of Naples, if you happen to be in Mumbai city.
