Foodie Tasteem#54 - Rerere 1001 Kushiyaki
Hi Steemians!
Today I am going to introduce a new Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay - one of the busiest area in HK!
Rerere 1001 was newly opened in Feb 2019!
It is not a large restaurant but emphasized on good service, grill-to-order, relax and feel like an Izakaya in Japan :D
There is a open kitchen in the restaurant, we can enjoy our time and clearly see the preparation process of the kishiyaki!
Alcohol is the must have item in an izakaya, so there have a part of display shelf to show the customer their selection of alcohol!
Those Sake,Shochu, whisky and beer are from various location in Japan! You can either ordered in bottle or in glass.
The restaurant is successful to create the feeling of izakaya, it attracted Japanese to visit :)
Few Japanese was there at the day I visited and they keep chatting and drinking during the meal.
They prepared both menu in Japanese, English and Chinese!
It could be clearly understand by every customers.
Also, variety of drinks could also fulfill each of our preferences. (Different kind of alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
They have kushiyaki, appetizers, noodles and origiri (rice ball)!
Also....Japanese Oden!!
The staff are so nice and with good attitude to all of us!
They are willing to listen our preferences and gave us some useful recommendation on drink and food.
Also....they refill the cabbage salad regularly. (Cabbage salad is free to serve as the kushiyaki will placed on top of it when the staff serve it.)
Besides, I saw the staff is even drink with Japanese as they were satisfied with the staff's great service.
OKAY...lets talk about our meal.
Regular Orion draft beer when we were waiting for others.
Thick cut beef tongue with salt, the texture is chewpy and taste is good!!
Grilled chicken skin with salt, cripsy and I ordered it for twice!!! Really delicious :D
Karaage (Fried Chicken).... it is crispy outside and soft! Juicy and it is perfectly match with mayonnaise!!
This is the great dish during the meal so we encore the dish again...haha
Grilled chicken wings with sauce....it is just soso~
It maybe related to the serve sequences as we felt quite full when the dish served.
Finally, a must to order an origiri before finsih our dinner! The grilled onigiri is crispy...highly recommend!!
Price is above average compared with other izakaya.
At the end it is about USD 47/head for this meal.
