Legendary Chicken Steamed Rice & Chicken Noodle with Dumplings - Jakarta, Indonesia

Back with me in tasteem review weekly choice, today i would like to share our lunch experience today.
Although we came a bit earlier to the legendary restaurant, at around 11 am, but there were already some customers there.
The outlook
Here was the legendary restaurant 'Nasi Tim Baru' or if we translated into english it become New Steamed Rice. It has built after some decades, even before i was born.
They showed their BBQ pork and steamed chicken in front of the restaurant

The dining place
It was not too large but had many customers come and go. It was clean and neat, an old chinese food restaurant. It was just ordinary simple restaurant with no instagram spots.
They hanged the large photos of the food they sold on the wall
The Menu
Like the name, one of the specialities they had was nasi tim (steamed rice), and also other menu like noodle or BBQ pork, but i heard from my mom that all of the food here were extraordinary delicious. Let me prove it!
The Service
Right away after we had come, the waiter quickly came and gave us the menu. He was nice and also friendly. Then we didn't wait for a long time for our order to be prepared.
The Food
This was mine
The special food here and my favorite food, nasi tim ayam (chicken steamed rice). It was extraordinary delicious with chicken and i also put yansui leaves on the top. It was soft like it usually. It had savory and really a bit sweet taste, and the chicken was soft and delicious too. For me, it was a perfect steamed rice.
What mom ordered was
Bakmi Ayam Pangsit
(Chicken noodle with dumplings)
Mom was right, it was actually not just ordinary noodle. It was so delicious, with the soft and hard texture in the middle and with savory and tasty flavor.
And guess what? Mom shared one of her dumpling to me, it was totally delicious too with the soft and thin skin, the meat inside was also so tasty and yummy. I bet they made it with a bit pork too, not only chicken. You could see how she enjoyed it from the pictures!
The price
For the food we paid 69,000 IDR or around 5 USD. I guess it was just an ordinary price for the extraordinary delicious food.
Overall, I love the food here and the price was just fine. Of course we'll be back here soon.
