Sigil Tarot - The Empress
The Empress, pen & ink, colored pencil, 8” x10”
The Empress is the Mother- the Earth Mother and Mother Earth- Gaia... here she is with her newborn, already pregnant with another. That is the Mother, and the Earth...life giving, life saving, always alive, always giving and feeding us...setting that example for how we are supposed to give and love freely to one another and back to her... we are not to steal her resources and sell them to one another, kill one another, kill her and her other lovely species, our brothers and sisters... we are to live and love and freely give, as she does.
So I made this sigil:
And also am including Gimel- the Hebrew letter associated with The Empress... Gimel is one of the Double Letters meaning-a “benefactor” or someone who gives to others.
These drawings will be mounted on wood, with mixed media and encaustic, later.
