Steemit Vision Quest - Life After Life

in #svq6 years ago

@cabelindsay, thank you for hosting the Steemit Vision Quest #8!

I am honored to participate in this quest prompt. Thank you for encouraging me to share my thoughts on Life After Life.

With Great Spirit, we bring you Steemit Vision Quest - Week 8. A Vision Quest is a dedicated search for inspiration. In this way, we bring our collective Visions into focus, prompted by the question: What Does My Higher Self See?

I was prompted to ask myself "What does my higher self see?" and to document my process.

I chose to write a poem to explore a thought I had while meditating the other night. I was following my breath as it moved, slowed and continued over and over. The breath is a place I often spend time with during a meditation. It is a sacred space.

In response to the SVQ Life After Life I chose to explore this thought further as a poem. What is my breath telling me?

Follow my breath
An infinite figure eight
Slowing down, speeding up
Never stopping

Breathe in. Breathe out.
The on and off give way to the infinite.

Around my feet and up my spine
Around my head and down again
Slowing down but never stopping

The breath and I, are they the same?
The figure eight disappears.
Awake. I feel awake.

Let go to the rhythms my heart beats.
Let go to the rhythms the rhythms of life.

I feel the ripples and dips all around me.
They breathe with me in and out-
the breath is one.

Let go to the fear, be the fear
it is me.
The fear breathes me and I breathe the fear
they are the same breath.

Around they ride the infinity and they become one.
Truth is here in this space.
In my belly, my mind, my soul.

My eyes open. I am awake.
This soul, this space, this time.
This time the truth has been seen.
It is here in this space.

Time is one, none is all.
Time is gone, time will come.
Time is vibrant, time is dim.
Round and round time goes on the infinity.

Breathe time in, breathe time around.
Time breathes out, breathes me in.
Time has no start, time has no end.

Love in this space, love in the air.
Love knows no start and it knows no end
Love fills my body and fills my soul.

My breath moves around the figure eight.
I am awake.

I wantbto meditate now, after reading this pretty poem. I like it when I feel the ripples and the dips. Tingling sensations moving from head to toe and back again.

Thanks for sharing

I'm glad you found some joy & inspiration in this poem :)

I love the poem because that's quite similar to what I feel about my breath when I meditate and chant too. Sometimes you need to use fancy and big words to bring about a deep and beautiful meaning, but sometimes just simple words just do the trick. The latter mostly happens when you just are at peace with yourself and let your thoughts flow without taming them and I feel that happened with this poem too. Lovely! It is going in my curation post today.

It is so nice when that happens! It doesn't always, so when it does I appreciate it. Thanks for sharing this. It's interesting to see how words about breathing can resonate with many people. Something like meditating is so subjective and hard to describe- its difficult to share those experiences. It's nice to know that we can relate on these simple ideas or feelings. (I don't like using big words anyway :P) Thanks for your curation!

Yeah big words don't suit me much either haha and the simple idea of breath does resonate with people because as simple as it is, it is the essence of our beings. Sadly, we do not focus much on it.

I agree with@senorcoconut this poem is very inviting of meditation. My heart and life in large part. Beautiful entry! You aced this one. Great of you to share 💜💚💙💛

So right, brother! I'm amazed to see your way of interpreting the figure-8 as the infinity symbol and running with that concept so brilliantly. There is synchronicity in this, because that very same symbolic interpretation of the 8 as the infinity symbol has been blazed on my mind recently. You've articulated it with awesome artistry. Thank you.

We celebrate your Creative Spirit, and we appreciate your entry in Steemit Vision Quest.

May you receive all you seek.

How nice to find synchronicity in this idea of infinity and the figure 8. I appreciate your challenge which inspired me to look into this idea/feeling which had been following me around as I breathe from time to time. Thank you for turning me on to this rewarding and meaningful quest :)

This post resonates with me on so many different levels but especially, that of the breath. I am doing much more breath work these days which is increasing my energy and my body circulation. And you did enlighten me with your analogy on the breath following the figure 8 = infinity. The number that I vibrate on is 17. And with this being week 8 of the svq, there is a magical symmetry and synergy that I feel which is indeed a kindred connection. Thank You for your entry @sagescrub.

Thanks again @rensoul17! I appreciate the work that you are doing to host the svq :) This is such a great way to inspire our creativity and looking within ourselves. Life after life can be so subjective, it was fun reading other entries and seeing what everyone came up with!

That was a lovely meditation, that figure 8 visual stuck with me throughout lending a sense of ebb and flow through to the end.

Yeah! I'm glad that came through and glad that you enjoyed it @fishyculture!

Wow, @sagescrub, I did not know that you are a poet apart of everything else. That is a very beautiful vision! And I just love photos you choose in your posts! But more of all I still keep being amazed that #ecoTrain passengers have so similar visions! I am honored to share a ride with you! Be blessed!

Very beautiful @sagescrub. Very visual or maybe it's just me.

Thank you @tryskele! It is definitely visual for me as well :)
