New Study Links Sugar To Mental Health Issues
According to a recent study that was published in Scientific Reports,
scientists suggest that there might be a potential link between sugar and mental health issues. Aside from the potential for fueling mental health issues, sugar has also been linked to other health problems and said to possibly be a culprit in contributing to things like inflammatory diseases, obesity, and diabetes.
The recent study that was published in Scientific Reports, included roughly 8,000 participants and the participants were required to fill out questionnaires about their eating habits. The participants were followed for several years as part of the study and the researchers discovered that for the men who consumed 67 grams of sugar a day or more, that they were at least 23 percent as likely to be diagnosed with depression.
Researchers say that the diagnosis came only 5 years after the study first began and at the beginning of the trial, there were no participants who reported having any mental health illness or diagnosis.
Researchers with the study admit that the relationship between mental illness and sugar intake wasn't well-defined with women. They also warn that the study doesn't prove that sugar is a direct cause of mental illness.
The conclusion from all of their work was that a decreased consumption of sugar is likely going to be the best for overall psychological health. However, it's noted that this health recommendation is unproven and there are some issues with the study; self-reporting of sugar consumption being one of them.
Just last year..
Researchers from Duke university released findings from their sugar study which suggested that a prolonged consumption of sugar might contribute to a decreased ability to self-regulate ones' own behavior.
Scientists suggest that more studies are needed in order to better understand the impact that sugar might have long-term on health. However, there is already quite a bit of research available which suggests that diets that are high in sugar might pose a variety of negative health issues down the road.
Some say that sugar is a toxic substance
but not everyone has been convinced and there are still many sugar advocates out there who will tell you that there's no worry in consuming high amounts of the substance. Keep in mind that we also know that the sugar industry has been caught in the past funding scientists in an effort to allegedly get them to downplay any worries about the substance.

But we must have the rules in mengkonsu sugar, when we consume containing carbohydrates in allowed to consume sugar simultaneously. We have to wait within 10 minutes or more, if consumed along with carbohydrates then our body will be easily attacked by diabetes. Because the sugar will settle in our body, the digestive system will be faster on sugar. In My place nearly 100 percent of humans consume sugar cane and almost all foods and drinks use sugar.
Refined sugar is also a major cause of cancer... and they've known it for centuries! On the sugar plantations that flourished in colonial days, the slaves ate raw cane fro sweets. The owners of course ate refined sugar- they got cancer, the slaves didn't.
