TALENT OR HARD WORK ?

I will narrate a story of 2 friends - kai and chris.
They both register for a swimming competition held after 2 months from now. They decided to meet on the day of the competition.
Chris knows swimming well but kai doesn’t. Chris is a talented guy. But he never practices everyday. He thinks that he will easily win that competition because he has a upper hand.
But kai went for practice everyday. He swims for 7-8 hours a day and 2 hours workout. He gave everything he could. He gave the best he could. He followed this routine for 2 months straight. No excuses.
Finally, the D-day came.
The competition is about to start. They meet and wish each other.
Finally the results are announced.
Chris is shocked as he is second in the competition.
He is eager to know who came first. Who had the guts to beat him at his own game?
The guest announced the winner’s name. Guess what?
Yes, Kai is the winner.
Chris is happy yet shocked to hear this.
Later, in the evening, they meet and kai revealed the mantra to his success.

Chris understands the importance of hard work.

But (hardwork + talent) does improve the probability of getting success.
So, work hard even if you are talented.
Do not be afraid of failures.
Embrace them. Learn from them.
Get better everyday.
DON’T GIVE UP UNTIL YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL.
