Sublime Sunday - Embrace The Randomness

...is something I completely forgot about. When I got up today, we were invited for a coffee by our neighbors and when I saw my niece carrying a gift bag for our neighbor, that's when it hit me what day it is, lol. I'm not a big advocate of this day but I still like it a little bit more than Valentine's day. I did get a few gifts, a white rose and a chocolate from my neighbors and a simley jar from my brother that I'll probably use it to store oatmeal or something like that. Maybe even use it instead of a glass for my smoothies. I still need to get one of those metal straws! Anyway, there is another gift I am looking forward to and that is a bottle of blackberry wine from my mom I'll get on Tuesday! :)

Living in the countryside, souranded by land and not that many houses, we are lucky enough to have great neighbors. We drink coffee together few days a week, kids play together and we also exchange goods - baked goods, cakes, produce from our garden if one is missing it, even eggs and fruits. If there is any work that needs to be done and requires physical help, neighbors are the first one to step in.

Now the really good stuff - on the picture below you can see something that is called "štrudla" in Serbian and it is pretty much a rolled dough filled with a mixture that mostly has hazelnuts. The most popular filling is with poppy seeds or walnuts but since we have two hazelnut trees, we might as well use them up. :) Even though I like baking, this is not my specialty but my mom's. Maybe I'll try to make some next time, with poppy seeds since that one is my favorite.

My niece is in first grade and few days ago she had a writing practice in school. She made some mistakes so I turned my aunty mood on and decided to practice with her every day so that she gets into a consistent habit and does better at her next writing task. My biggest problem in school was definitely laziness and procrastionation, I wasn't consistent with my studying, homework and other duties. There was a period of time where I would be so into studying and get great grades and then I would go back to my lazy mode. So I think that maybe I should play a part at helping my niece doing better than me, at least while I'm around and we live in the same house. So I made myself another cup of coffee, not the one I usually have, but it did the job.

In the moment of writing this post, Binance started their power down 10 minutes ago! Finally! Huobi did the same earlier. It's good to see these positive moves. Seems like we're finally getting somewhere and that our Twitter activities and all the mentions worked, lol. I've been also listening to all the recordings of all the meetings so far and attended two MSP Live chats. Twitter and Discord have been blowing up these days. I am trying to get back to more engaging on SteemPeak as I find important to keep the interaction on posts too.
