Very cold here today and had a few flakes of snow. You are right, winter has lost its charm. :)
We have about an inch on the ground now and it's coming down pretty hard! You understand how discouraging it is to have snow when you are waiting for the flowers to grow!
You did some really wonderful work in here, Melinda. Especially those first two. They really had me smiling:)
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked them!
Wow! What a great sequence of photos. I love it. The dear really are well camouflaged! I love those birds too. I got a shot of the moon yesterday probably not long after you too : )
You got me watching for those daytime moons! Often the deer can be just feet away from me and unless they startle and go crashing through the brush I sometimes don't even see them right away.
Chicago got hit with lots of snow too i thought it was supposed to be spring.

My tulips thought so, too!
Fortunately i didn't put any of my plants out. It was so warm yesterday. On the bright side maybe more of my orchids will bloom.

Why would this kind of weather make your orchids bloom? I have one that I would love to get to bloom again but it appears to just sit there. My Meyers Lemon is beginning to bloom and from past experience I know it won't set many lemons if it blooms in the house.
When it gets cooler and dark they like to bloom. You can put an icecube in the pot with them to get them to bloom sometimes.

I will try it!
The best luck i've had is putting them next to a window with shades drawn during the winter.

Both of mine are rescues. A neighbor was throwing them out after they quit blooming. I removed all the moss they were potted in. I've kept one of them alive for over a year, but no blooms. I have had the 2nd one for six months, but I'm afraid that it had too much root damage to survive and will probably not make it much longer, the leaves feel awful bendy.
Dear Melinda, these pictures are beautiful, I loved the last ones. That little layer of snow covering the plants😍
I'm very hopeful that this will be our very last snowfall of the season. It has to warm up soon.
I hope it's the last one. And the beautiful spring is coming
Now they are saying thunderstorms for most of the coming week. A sunny day would be so nice!
Rays ... Hopefully the sunny days come soon
Excellent photos, and yup in Upstate NY weather is so weird this year. My daffodils really want to bloom, but they need the sunshine, which in 7 days has shined only twice. phew

Haha..the chickadee getting spruced up for Sublime Sunday is hilarious, Melinda. The goldfinches look lovely against the snowy background. I hope the sun takes the snow away tomorrow. We’ve had enough of the white stuff!
Sorry about the bot flag war flags. I hate it and try not to take it personally.
Thanks! It has already melted off the driveway and the grass the only place that it is left is on top of the shrubs and the tree branches. And now they're saying we are going to have thunderstorms through Thursday because of a stalled warm front. A sunny day would be so nice. Maybe this will be the last snow of the year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
