Street of Old Havana 彩色哈瓦那之老城的街道

Since I talked about La Bodeguita yesterday, I think maybe I can take the chance to write more about my trip in Havana.

As a fan of architecture, I think building talks, especially in a city like Havana.

You may get lost in time from old town (old Havana) to new town (which now they call Havana). Along the narrow streets in Old Havana, you can see many baroque and neoclassic style buildings. Many buildings were not maintained in a very good shape.

You probably can get a rough idea on what happened in this city from the building styles and their status. - The city was founded by the Spanish in 1519, and had been a stopping point of Spanish Galleons for quite a long time. It was once one of the main shipbuilding centers. Sadly, the city experienced the attacks from pirates in 1555. Also as time goes by, many buildings fell in to ruins due to lack of maintenance.

既然昨天已经写到了La Bodeguita，那今天我就趁机多聊聊在哈瓦那旅游的见闻吧。

我对建筑非常着迷。大家都说建筑是凝固的音乐，我觉得建筑是一种无言的陈述，特别在哈瓦那这样历史悠久的城市。

从哈瓦那老城走到新城，你会有一种穿越时空的感觉，因为二者风格实在是差很多。

老城狭窄的街道两边随处可见巴洛克和新古典式建筑，因为年久失修很多都看上去有些破旧。从建筑风格和现存状态你大概也能对这座城市的身世猜个一二了。

——哈瓦那由西班牙人建于1519年，一度是非常繁荣的港口和造船中心。然而，跟很多命途多舛的老城一样，它也历经了海盗的洗劫和焚烧。由于疏于管理，时间一长很多老建筑都倒了。所以你今天看到的哈瓦那老城是这个状态。

That's what you will see if you go all the way down the Obispo Street in Old Havana. It is a pleasant walk as you can find restaurants, bars, stores, and people playing guitar along the way.

For Hemingway readers, Ambos Mundos Hotel - Hemingway's first home in Havana, and Hotel Florida - if you want to taste Hemingway's daiquiri, are all on the Obispo Street.

I think I might follow this route back then: La Bodeguita - Plaza de la Catedral (The Cathedral Square) - Obispo Street, and then all the way down to the Plaza Vieja (The Old Square). Maybe the other way around. You can stop at any point and have a mojito/cuba liberty/daiquiri, whatever you like. Don't get too drunk though:)

这是一个非常典型的老城街道场景。沿着老城的Obispo大街走走是一件赏心乐事。一路都是小酒馆小餐厅，路边还有人弹奏乐器。

海明威的读者们请注意，Ambos Mundos Hotel ——传说中海明威在哈瓦那的第一个窝，以及Hotel Florida——就是海明威的daiquiri所在地，都在这条街上。

我当时走的路线大概是这样：La Bodeguita - 教堂广场 - Obispo大街，然后到老城广场。也可能是反方向，时间长了记不清了。反正大家要是去的话随意就行，不用急着踩点。走到哪儿累了都可以停下来喝一杯，什么莫吉托自由古巴daiquiri，毕竟人家一个很重要的特产就是这些。当然也不要贪杯呀：）
