[Streemian.com] Scheduled Posts publicly available now!

in #streemian8 years ago

A new freemium service has been started on Streemian.com:

Scheduled Posts

This feature enabled to publish a post at a specific date and time (with a tolerance of approx. 5 minutes). If you are going on vacation, out of office or will just be unavailable to post at the desired time, just schedule your release with Streemian's Scheduled Posts and we will take care of publishing it for you.

Of course, you will be able to preview your Markdown-formated release prior to the release date and modify (and delete) it according to your needs.

Hope this serves you well.

PS: This post has been released using Scheduled Posts!

About Streemian

Streemian is a product of ChainSquad GmbH and offers multiple services for Steemians. It offers a set of free-to-use services and premium services that can be paid for using Steem Backed Dollars (SBD). Thus, Streemian is among the first businesses to accept SBD (only) for payment at parity with the U.S. Dollar.

The complete backend and frontend of Streemian has been written from scratch with modularity and extensibility kept in mind. It constitutes multiple plugins and workers that perform backend and monitoring tasks. The whole platform is based on piston (another ChainSquad GmbH product).

Have fun!

Very cool, I'll have to try it out. I've been thinking about that kind of service recently, so i can write a set of posts and have the publishing staggered. Awesome that the market is developing so rapidly. Also love that you guys are only accepting SBD!

Would you offer a service like buffer that times a post for highest engagement?

Erm, I don't think I can follow. What would you like to buffer?

Buffer is a scheduling service to time posts for maximum impact on social media. Wondering if streemian could do something similar.

Oh, buffering votes or vote on a good timing is certainly a feature I could add. However, it is distinct to the curation trail which hooks into the curators votes and thus already has a 'buffering' component to it.
Anyway, I am looking into more sophisticated services aswell .. gonna keep you posted

actually, I wasn't talking about buffering votes. I'm talking about a feature to time the publishing of a post to increase the possibility to catch a whale or when people are most active on steemit.com . -> https://buffer.com/

Certainly possible. Will think about a way to integrate this efficiently

that's really neat feature, been thinking about this for a while on eSteem and I like your approach with streemian account requesting permission and can be used to automate this type of services...For mobile it is bit tricky though, perhaps there is a way we can combine/incorporate these features in future...?! Btw, html is removed in preview, but it won't be on publish, right?

Who about I offer you an API? It will still be required that the users have the streemian account in their posting permission. Otherwise, I can't post in their name, of course.

correct!

I think, API would be great, so API would receive post content, time and user must have streemian permission...
If user logged in with their main password, I suppose we can request them to give permission, right, in case streemian doesn't have permission? Any direction on how to do that with Steem API, without piston?

Looks the same way I would go!

You need to use the account_update operation and replace the whole posting attribute of the account. With replacing, I mean REPLACE the whole thing. So you take the current posting structure, add the streemian account name to the account_auths, use the threshold as weight and put it into the account_update operation.

It would look like this:

 'operations': [['account_update',
                 {'account': 'fabian',
                  'json_metadata': '{"profile": {"name": "Fabian"}}',
                  'memo_key': 'STM6Gkj27XMkoGsr4zwEvkjNhh4dykbXmPFzHhT8g86jWsqu3U38X',
                  'posting': {'account_auths': [['streemian', '1']],
                              'key_auths': [['STM8EhGWcEuQ2pqCKkGHnbmcTNpWYZDjGTT7ketVBp4gUStDr2brz',
                                             '1']],
                              'weight_threshold': 1}}]],

This is very exciting! I can't wait to try it out.

Sweet! Rolling out more potential by the day lately. Thanks!!

I gave it a try last night. Scheduled it to post while I was sleeping. Fantastico! The only thing that would be nice is if you could choose 100% Steem Power. I will definitely be using this again. Thanks so much!! Oh, and one other thing, it only applied ONE tag even though I chose 4. No biggie, just thought you would want to know.

Need to look into how these post options work anyways :)

Thanks for the bug report. I fixed it just now!

Awesome, looks great! I will be trying out the automated posting very soon.

Also I would like it if each trail specified that they do or do not vote for steemsport! I am signed up to multiple trails and I find two teams for steem sports being voted, which automatically disqualifies me :( @xeroc do you vote for steemsports on your trail?

Thanks again for all the work to make streemian!
