Alcoholic Stories #20: Becoming a VIP customer

in #story8 years ago

I'm a simple man by nature: I like women and I like to drink. I don't like overcomplicate simple things and I prefer a laid back lifestyle, because I'm not really much for drama. Much like everything else, my drinking routine, is also pretty simple:
Step 1. Go to a bar (optional)
Step 2. Get drunk and see what's gonna happen next (chances are you aren't going to remember it anyway)

Not an elegant life if you ask me, but each to their own I suppose. Over the time I've got used to a few particular bars where I've been since I was 16. The legal drinking age around here is 18, so having had a larger frame it wasn't hard to fool bartenders looking adult. The bald head and tattoos help, too. But this story is about this one specific bar, it's in midtown, a wannabe fancy cafe, that attracts drunks for some weird reason. Nobody classy ever hands around there. The beer is overpriced, the food is really bad and the customer service is equivalent of one you would get from your local immigrant plumber. It has it's good days, but you tend to not expect much of it.

Now I don't mind the poor conditions - I'm not too picky to be honest, I just became a local. I used to spend my school weekends there, used to bring girls around, throw some parties, organize birthdays and so on. I befriended the staff fairly easily and at first used to get good loyalty discounts for promoting this cafe/bar/lounge so hard. Sure felt like a VIP customer.

But like every other drunk, I get out of hands every now and then. Around here we have huge fights with our local natives versus Russians, so barfights were fairly regular around this part of the town. Also my second love, ladies, had also become scared of visiting this bar, because of my annoying habit and approaching every girl I see. The bartenders didn't like it too much. Also my friends managed to embarass themselves every now and then, most of the time they would just pass out and sleep on the floor. For some reason the bar management wasn't too fond of this. Wonder why.

Over the time accidents had accumulated and all that bartenders remember were how my friends would puke themselves or how I would threaten to kill some Russians or chase women.

This one time I celebrate my birthday, 21th, I'm at my favorite bar, right, and I manage to get kicked out for being too loud.

This another time me and my friends got banned for being too drunk to even read the menu.

Quite a dozen times barfights x dead threats x self-started karaoke nights.

This one time I was on a date with a girl and we got booted out, because of my reputation. The girl said it was her first time getting kicked out.

But that's just the life of a VIP customer, that's what you earn for being loyal. Oh and I accidentally banged the bar owner's girlfriend, that might have something to do with this.

Sort:

I gotta hear about how you 'accidentally' banged his girl!
