nce upon a time, a young lady who lived sick and had to spend a lot of time in bed. The doctors did not know what her condition was. The girl's father had a huge collection of books, so much so that they filled a whole room. The young lady used to entertain herself reading books every day. Even when she could not leave her house, she immersed herself with her imagination in the different worlds that reading offered her. It was then that she reads Moby Dick’s story. Fascinated by life on the high seas. She asked her father a wish. To know the sea. Tasting the salty water of the sea, the swaying of the waves and playing with the sand on the beach, was what she most wanted.
The father, knew that his daughter could not make such a long trip to reach the ocean. But he was connoisseur in the study of sciences and mechanical artifacts. He decided to invent the way to make his daughter's dream come true. He used to lock himself in his laboratory, all day. At night, he spent the time telling stories to her dauther.
It was one afternoon that his arduous efforts paid off.
"EUREKA!", The father cheered happily.
That's when the whole house shuddered! Frightened, the girl clung to her bed. The house, along with a piece of land, had been torn from the earth and flew peacefully, suspended in the sky.
"Do not be scared, my daughter. Contemplate the miracle of science! ", said the father.
They went through the sky, flying over the mountains and meadows. During the course of the trip, the young lady could observe, from her window, how big the world was. Finally, she could see the blue of the ocean that stretched beyond the horizon, beyond where her eyes could see.
The house settled on the shore of the sea and her father took her in his arms and put her over the sand of the beach.
Happily, she felt the waves of the sea caressing her legs. Little crabs walked around her and the salt-flavored air filled his lungs. Sand shone like little diamonds
Suddenly, she got up and walked to the sea and dived. The young lady became a dolphin and went swimming towards the horizon.
The father sighed agreeably, seeing that his daughter regained her health and original form.
